First of all, it is necessary to cut out a piece of material intended for making a sling. Depending on the elasticity we measure the width of the cut: the stretching texture is from 45 to 55 cm, the less elastic is from 60 to 70 cm. The length of the sling is determined by the size of the mother - up to 44 sizes, the sling cloth should be about 4 to 4.5 meters in length, will have to use a fabric of slightly larger sizes - from 4,5 to 5,5 meters. Advanced Sling
Sling-scarf you already learned how to sew. Now try to make his more perfect model - this is a two-sided sling, in which a new element is added-rings. This kind of sling is convenient because it can be worn both for winter clothes and under it. This sling allows you to fit in the child in any position. He will suit the mothers of different complexions.
To make it, you need to prepare the following: 2 pieces of metal rings with an internal diameter of about 6-7 cm, a two-sided fabric, the width of which is 80 cm, and the length is 2 m40 cm.
As before, we choose not strongly stretched fabric. And if she still drags on, then this is permissible only in relation to the width. Do not touch this length. For sewing this model you can use not very thick fabric, such as jeans, corduroy, double-sided fleece. In general, tissue can be any, but necessarily two-sided. Thus, your slengashvost will be free and fluffy.
We begin, again, with the processing of the edges of the matter (we turn on the typewriter or sweep it on the overlock). One of the edge-worn fabric should be put into the rings (both at once), then wrap it in such a way that both rings are on the edge. Then, pre-wrapped edge is applied to the main fabric and we add it. The stitch must be zigzag or straight in three rows along a line resembling a semicircle. Well, the sling with rings of its own production is ready.
A more complex modeling model (May-sling)
Unlike the first two, this model is a little more complicated, however it is more convenient. It is called May-sling and somewhat reminiscent of apron. Having seated the child outside, the apron's bottom is lifted up, and the straps, crossed behind the back of the mother, are fixed in front. So the sling, whose length is 35 by 45 cm, has two-meter upper straps (about 9 cm wide), a waist strap (8 by 160 cm) will require from you the following preparations.

First you need to cut 2 canvases 48 and 38 cm with a 1.5-cm allowance for folding on each side. Next, we cut out the two upper straps, the size of each should correspond to 21 cm by 1 m 11.5 cm due to allowance. Next on the turn, the waist strap - its width is 19 by 163 cm and plus 1.5 cm by the allowance. Double-inserts 8 by 140 cm are cut from the synthepon. We proceed to sewing.
First, the detail of the waist strap is doubled along the length and we patch the edges. It turned out a pipe, which must be turned and ironed. With the top straps we perform a similar operation. Then we insert the sintepon up the straps, combining its edges and the ends of the straps. At a distance of 15 cm, sew straight or zigzag lines in several rows for strength. Straps, the edges of which are not processed, stitch, pre-tucked. We leave the edges with the synthepon gasket open. Between the folded faces of the details of the scaling in the upper corners we insert the straps so that in the center the ends intersect with the sintepon. We pin all the details with pins and sew on the edge, without forgetting that the line should be started from the middle of one of the sides. Push upwards, then sew the second side to the middle. Then, remove the pins, the sling must be unscrewed and ironed.
We proceed to adjust the location of the upper straps. For this, we fasten them with pins. Belt strap, which is threaded along the bottom of the sling, is also fastened. We turn under the waist strap the lower edges of the backrest and apply the entire sling to the perimeter. The last line should be laid seven cm from the bottom of the sling, while capturing the belt strap on the edge. It does not hurt to make several rows of lines in the fastening points. The sling is ready.
