Exercises for the development of fine motor hand

Your newborn baby is constantly evolving and one day you notice that the handles that were previously closed in the cam suddenly begin to relax, opening the palm - it's time to start doing the exercises for developing the fine motor skills of the hand. This will help your child not only learn to control their little hands and fingers faster, but also contribute to earlier development of speech skills.

Scientists have proved that the point responsible for developing the speech of babies is on the inside of the palm, and the constant stimulation of this point leads to an earlier development of communicative skills. Thus, doing exercises for the development of fine motor skills of the hand, you not only help the kid in "mastering" his pens and fingers, but also bring that long-awaited moment when your baby will utter his first word!

So, what exercises for the development of fine motor skills can you use at this stage? Start with a massage of the hands, which will help to completely eliminate the muscle tone: stroke the palms themselves in a circular motion, starting from the center and spiraling to the bump of the thumb, straighten each finger, stroke it from all sides, massage it lightly. To the baby was interested, and the lessons took the form of a fun game, you can do these exercises under the "Soroku-crow".

A little later, when the baby begins to make attempts to grab an object, alternately in each palm, put a rattle with a comfortable long handle. Do not worry if your child does not immediately manage to keep in his small palms such a large, and does not want to remain in his hand a rattle. Over time, the child will master this skill, and then you can complicate the task - suggest that the child himself already take the toy from your hands. This task is a little more difficult, since it involves not only the ability to control your pens and fingers, but also connects spatial perception and the ability to focus on the subject.

A little later, when the baby learns to turn over on his tummy, you can buy him or make the most developing mat. For the developing mat you can use different types of materials, ribbons, buttons, locks, appliques, laces. It will be interesting for a child to crawl on such a rug, studying the various tissues to touch and color, fingering the buttons, trying to grab the ribbon. Elements in this rug can be changed in time, adding new ones and removing old and boring. And when your child learns to walk, such a rug can be hung on the wall above the playing area or crib, which will allow your child to continue playing with such a favorite and interesting toy.

Also, you can offer your child such a game: pour various types of cereals into the jars, and let the child in turn lower the handle to each of the jars, studying the contents to the touch. Moving small grains, the child develops the motility of the fingers, learns to take and hold small objects. You can slightly complicate the task and dig in the eyes of the child in the groats of any small items (buttons or coins, for example), and the child must find them. Just do not leave your child during such games unattended, because a child can swallow small items!

If the baby is older and already knows how to speak, you can put a lot of small items in a small container (casket, box, jar) with which you are sure your baby is exactly familiar (these can be buttons, coins, thread coils, nipples, clothespins) and invite him with closed eyes to get on one subject and feel by guess what kind of thing it is. Your child will definitely like this game. And if your baby is already familiar with letters and numbers, you can alternately put on each palm of three-dimensional figurines in the form of numbers or letters, and offer the kid, exploring with his other hand an unknown object, to determine what kind of figure he has on his hand. Such activities not only help develop fine motor skills, but also help to better memorize numbers and alphabet.

There are a lot of special finger games and a charge built on the fact that you read the rhyme, and the child at this time portrays fingers and pens what you call. Or you simply call the child an object, and he must show it. For example, "lock": the child at the same time folds the handle with a lock. Or "glasses": the child on both handles makes circles from the index and thumbs, and places these circles to the eyes.

There are many more things that contribute to the development of fine motor skills of small pens and fingers. This modeling of plasticine, drawing, assembling designers, puzzles, etc. There are graphic games for the development of fine motor skills, such as "hit the target" (the child draws a line and, without taking his hands off, must get to the target point), connecting all the points in turn to get the picture. Many games you can think up yourself, based on what your child is fond of. If this is a boy, and he is fond of cars, give preference to cars-transformers, which can be collected and disassembled. If this is a girl, you can bring her to help with housework: take care of indoor plants, coil the thread, peel the croup, and so on.

Perform such exercises on the development of fine motor skills should be systematically. If you engage with the child every day, you will very quickly notice that your baby's movements become more and more smooth, clear, coordinated each time. You will be covered with pride, that yesterday your child could not grab a rattle with his little hand, but today he is already confidently holding it and trying to shift it into another palm. And what a happiness for a child to spend time with mom or dad, and even playing such exciting games that help him to know himself and this huge outside world.
