Before proceeding to the process of rust removal from clothes, it is necessary to carefully study the information on the label. How can I wash rust?
Depending on the type of material, you can use several options for removing rusty stains:

White fabric
With a white cloth (if it is sturdy), you can try to remove the stain with a means containing chlorine. It is best if it is in the form of a gel. For removal it is necessary to put it on that place where traces of a rust are visible. Leave it for a couple of minutes. Then wash clothes with washing powder. If necessary, the procedure will need to be repeated. This method can only be used for conventional tissues. Delicate fabrics should be better treated with an oxygen-containing stain remover.

Another method, suitable for white fabrics, is the use of tartaric acid. In equal parts mixed with table salt and acid, poured a little water until the mush. This mixture is superimposed on a dirty spot, and the thing itself is placed in the place where direct sunlight hits, and wait until the spot disappears. After the clothes are washed and rinsed.

Colored and delicate fabrics
  1. For them, the use of bleach is not recommended, this can lead to damage. Instead, you can use lemon juice. On a rusty stain, you need to squeeze a few drops, and then leave for a few minutes. Then do the usual washing.
  2. Lemon can be replaced with citric acid, which is sold at each grocery store. It should be diluted in warm water, the resulting solution should be applied to the stain and held for 15 minutes. Then you just need to wash your clothes.
  3. Also to remove rusty spots you can use acetic acid. For this 2 tbsp. Spoons must be diluted in 2 liters of water, and in the resulting solution soak clothes and leave until the morning. The color of the product will not change. In the morning the thing should be washed and rinsed.
  4. Another good tool for getting rid of rust from delicate tissues is glycerol. The solution is prepared in the following way: glycerin (1: 1) is added to the dishwashing detergent. After that, it should be applied to the contamination and left for a couple of hours, after which to wash.
  5. The use of oxalic acid is also one way to remove stains without the use of chemicals. The solution is prepared as follows: several table spoons of essence is diluted in one glass of water. Then the mixture is spread on the stain and aged for two hours. Then the thing is simply erased.
Denim fabrics
They are also undesirable to soak in chlorine bleach, as it can spoil the color of clothing. Remove the stain from the denim can be as follows: pour a little lemon juice on the rust, and with the help of a hair dryer or iron heat this place. Then the procedure should be repeated. Then you need to wash clothes with soap in warm water. Instead of lemon juice, you can use acetic acid. The effect will be similar.

Own forces are very difficult to get rid of rust on the fabric, even using special chemicals. In addition, if used improperly, they can leave traces that will be completely impossible to get rid of. With such complex dirt, as stains from rust, clothes are recommended for dry-cleaning. There they will be removed without difficulty.
