Lemoncello Lemon Liqueur is not a sort of lemonade. This is a traditional Italian liquor, which is served at the end of lunch or during it, to restore the taste between dishes. Although lemonade this drink can be called, only alcoholic. Previously, this lemon liqueur was prepared only at Villa Massa from the fruits of the family lemon grove, and they were traditionally greeted by all guests coming to the villa. But at the end of the twentieth century, the Massa brothers - Stefano and Sergio, founded a company for the production of limoncello and made this drink affordable for everyone. This limoncello is prepared from a certain sort of lemons - Sorrento, growing on the Amalfi coast, but we will use those that are. It is better to keep the finished lemoncello in the refrigerator and serve chilled. And you can cook on its basis an aperitif, mixed with mineral water or sparkling wine, and adding a glass of lemon chips and ice cubes. Those who like desserts, like ice cream, poured by this aromatic liqueur. And if you add limonchello to the dough with baking, then all your cupcakes, cookies and rolls will become even more delicious and aromatic.
Ingredients:- Lemon 5 pcs.
- Ethyl alcohol 95% 200 ml
- Sugar 250g
- Water 400 ml
- Step 1 To prepare limoncello take 4-5 large lemons, sugar, water and ethyl alcohol 95%.
- Step 2 Lemons are well washed, then remove the zest from them (in general, the peel should be 70-80 grams).
- Step 3 Pour the zest with alcohol, close tightly and put it in a dark cool place for 8-10 days, shake every day.
- Step 4 After 8-10 days, prepare the syrup - 400 ml of cold water bring to a boil, add sugar, mix well until it dissolves completely. Then cool the syrup.
- Step 5 Strain the alcohol tincture and add to the syrup. Again, close the lid tightly and insist in a dark cool place for 5 more days. Then the liqueur can be drunk or used in baking. Store the finished liquor in the refrigerator.
