Peel the potatoes, cut them and put them in a saucepan. Add garlic, pour water (about 8 cups), add 1 tablespoon of salt. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook until the potatoes are ready, from 25 to 30 minutes. Drain the water. Garlic and potatoes cook on medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring together. Remove from heat. In a small saucepan bring the milk to a boil, pour the milk into the potatoes. Add butter and 1 teaspoon of salt. Stir the mass until a smooth consistency is obtained.
