There are things that create a very special atmosphere for the approaching New Year and Christmas. Write a card with your child to relatives and friends.
In this age of e-mail for the child there will be a whole event going to mail for envelopes, sticking stamps. And even if you do it on December 31, it does not matter: there are many holidays and wonders for the new year ahead.
Build a family evening of desires.
Let all members of the family take turns telling what they expect in the new year. You can write a letter to yourself, list all the family dreams in it and seal the envelope until December 31 of the following year. Bake with children a Christmas cookie or cake. This is a very pleasant experience, in which all members of the family can participate. The house will be filled with the aroma of the holiday, and it becomes clear: waiting for magic is not long!
Good Traditions
Even if there is very little time left until the last night, still find the time to give the house a festive look with the baby, if you have not done it before. Cut out the snowflakes and paste them on the windows. Do not forget to hang a Christmas wreath at the door and arrange candles. The main thing is that these little rituals are done slowly and in the right mood. It is at such moments that a fairy tale is born in the soul of the crumbs.
Then you can drink tea together and just sit side by side. This is the time of intimate conversations, when my mother is not in a hurry and is ready to answer all the questions of the baby.
Create new traditions for your family:
Every year, you must buy a new Christmas tree toy. So little by little the family collection will gather. Taking out Christmas decorations out of the box, tell the kid their story. Let him hang a few balls on the lower branches.
Stock up with magical stories. Buy a beautiful book with pictures, so that every day from New Year to Christmas read aloud tales or Christmas parables. You can choose one story and read it for several days in a row.
In the evenings you go out together to walk. It's good to wander around the snow-covered boulevards and see the New Year's decoration of the city! In the light of the streetlights and the flickering of garlands all around seems mysterious.
Make family movie screenings. Lie in an embrace on the couch, wrapped in a blanket, and watch New Year cartoons and fairy-tale films - it's great!

No matter how much you like, do not give holiday secrets until the cherished day. You can only warm up the waiting, thinking aloud: "I wonder what we'll find under the tree this year?" And even if the child did not behave very well on December 31, the day must end in reconciliation. And finally, we will tell you about another beautiful tradition. In Europe, there is a custom every week to light a new candle on a Christmas wreath. There are five (sometimes four or six), and each carries its own special meaning. Looking at the tongue of flame, children are told the eternal story of the birth of the Savior and about miracles for the new year ... The last candle lights up on the eve of the holiday. And for a whole month the kids are tremblingly waiting for a new Sunday to see on the wreath a new light that foreshadows Christmas. After all, New Year holidays for children - this is magic!
