Pareos: gentle chiffon captivity

And now they are moments of happiness: a salty breeze on the lips, bright sunbeams kissing gently at the bare shoulders, affectionate turquoise waves that give you cool and cool, admiring glances of men, and you are so mysterious and gorgeous, wrapped in a translucent light chiffon, playfully hiding outlines of a chiseled figure.

It was thanks to this simple accessory that men lost the magnificent opportunity to admire an open female body, and women, on the contrary, acquired a true ally in creating an intrigue and flair of mystery around their person. The name of this magic accessory is pareo.

Arriving from the islands of Tahiti, he slowly but surely conquered the female audience of the whole world and, eventually, became an integral element of the beach fashion. Well, then, many centuries ago, for the islanders, it was almost one of the basic items of the wardrobe, which, by the way, was distinguished by its elaborate decoration and unsurpassed beauty. As a fabric for a basis the thin, almost weightless silk of the square form, richly decorated by a hand-painted and printed patterns and framed on edge by a fringe and brushes served. For the first time, truly fashionable, pareo became in the heyday of the youth movement of the hippies. Then large scarves began to be made not only from silk, but from cotton and flax. Figures acquired folklore and ethnic motifs and perfectly combined with the bright variegation of fashionable at that time accessories - baubles and tropicans. The same pareo, young women of fashion managed to combine with a rough denim, screaming shirts in the Hawaiian style, well, of course, with swimsuits. Such a wild mixture was then a sign of good taste, and in combination with a characteristic for hippy attributes, looked quite harmoniously.

As time went on, pareo then appeared, then again disappeared from the field of fashion visibility, but already at the beginning of this century, designers paid close attention to the bright cut of colored fabric and decided to use it in their collections as an additional accessory in beach fashion models. Together with thin stripes of swimsuits, a handkerchief tied around the waist or thighs, looked quite stylish and fresh, adding a silhouette of light understatement and coquetry. Women immediately appreciated the novelty, especially since it was not just a beautiful fashionable thing, but also a very practical and independent wardrobe item that can perfectly protect the skin from scorching sun and prickly sand. Having received wide distribution, pareo lost its former naturalness in materials and began to be made mostly from semi-transparent synthetic chiffon, and already more expensive and high-quality models remained true to silk. Fashion women quickly mastered the treatment of pareos and, apart from simple tying on the hips, learned to design fairly complex models by twisting the fabric, tying the knots and crossing the ends of the kerchief among themselves.

Gradually, the pareo becomes a classic of the beach fashion genre, and fashion designers can no longer do without it in their collections. So it happened in this fashionable season of 2014. As an addition to the main beach alongside - a swimsuit, they offered air large scarves with bright, colorful prints. Actual drawings for them were strips, animalistic, in particular, made for the skin of a leopard, patterns, geometric motifs and the same traditional ethnic ornament. Despite the huge variety and rich assortment of colorful, catchy pareos, choosing the right one will not be so difficult. The main thing and it is the only rule that should be followed when selecting a pareo - the tone of the kerchief should correspond to the tone of the swimsuit, creating a single harmonious set with it.

Very soon dreams will become reality, and the azure coast is filled with luxurious women, hiding their charms under the light shroud of colorful scarves, which gently envelop the tanned body like a weightless cloud.
