Drink

Discomfort

In a simplified form, discomfort is when it's not painful, but unpleasant (uncomfortable). The most common cause of discomfort in young children can be indicated by the word "hot".

The second most frequent cause of discomfort is irritation of the skin in the perineal region due to urination and (or) defecation.


Light, sound

Children can sleep in any light. In the dark or twilight, sleep is stronger. The presence of semi-darkness is a desirable phenomenon, but not at all necessary.

But what really affects sleep, and it affects badly, are the sudden changes in the level of illumination in the room.

With sound, the situation is almost the same. In silence, it's good to sleep, but complete silence is not needed, and in most cases it is impossible. A sharp loud sound can wake anyone, but quiet human speech, quiet music, a peacefully working TV - healthy sleep is not a hindrance.

Do not strive for darkness and complete silence. No need for extremism, whispers, walking on tiptoe and absolute darkness. And your child will learn to fall asleep in almost any conditions.


Loads

The increase (without extremism) of physical loads uniquely contributes to the physiological and healthy sleep of the child, so the active way of life (dynamic gymnastics, swimming, walks, etc.) uniquely contributes to a healthy baby sleep.

Limitation of emotional loads, especially in the evenings, in turn, is a factor favorably affecting sleep.


Children's room

The children's room has no age specificity. The newborn and the adolescent are well the same.

Requirements:

- The optimum air temperature is 18-20 C;

- better than 16 C, than 22 C, but in no case higher than 24 C;

- optimum humidity of air - 50-70%;

- Regular airing, mandatory before bedtime;

- regular wet cleaning, very desirable before bedtime;

- Better pajamas (diaper) warmer than a heater;

- in the children's room, no dust accumulators are desirable: carpets, upholstered furniture, soft toys.


clothing

Neither should the child freeze under any circumstances. It is warm clothes in combination with the pure cool moist air of the nursery - the guarantee of a healthy sleep.


Diaper

Everything can be perfect: warm, satisfying, comfortable, quiet ... But no matter how hard parents try to create wonderful conditions for their child, the reason to wake up in the middle of the night will necessarily arise and, unfortunately, more than once. Because the baby can not control urination and bowel movements, so 2-3 times during the night there will be a feeling of discomfort - sleep in wet diapers nobody likes!

If the child has at least some clothes, then during the night it will necessarily become wet, then the mother or father will have to wake up.
