1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Divide the eggs into squirrels and yolks. To cook the pie, mix the sugar, butter and egg yolks in a medium saucepan. Protein aside for later meringue preparation. 2. Add starch and vanilla to the egg mixture, mix. Then add water and chopped pineapple. Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick. 3. Put the resulting mixture over the pie crust. 4. To make meringue, whip the proteins into a foam mixer at a very high speed. Add salt, tartar, sugar, vanilla extract and continue to beat until a homogeneous airy consistency. 5. Lay the meringue on top of the chilled pie. Mold with a rubber spatula. 6. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for only a few minutes. Keep the cake in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Cut the cake into slices and serve warm or cold as desired.
