Proper nutrition in human life

There is hardly a single person who does not want to be healthy, does not want to be in a good mood and is not going to live long. However, the way of life and habits of many people suggest that they really do not want, do not want and do not intend to.

To explain such a contradiction is quite simple. One desire is not enough. It is also necessary to know how to achieve this and follow a number of rules. Quality and life expectancy depend on many factors, the main of which are, first of all, proper nutrition, rational mode of work and rest, physical activity. The ancient Eastern wisdom says: "We are what we eat". It is this clear, short and precise formulation that explains why our lives depend.

Proper nutrition in human life plays a key role, and it is the key to longevity, good health and good mood. A lot of books, articles, television programs, speeches of specialists and dietitians are devoted to this topic.

The food we eat should be balanced, that is, contain enough calories, proteins, fats and carbohydrates, and vitamins and minerals to provide our body with energy and the necessary material for building and renewing tissues and cells. Perhaps it will seem surprising and even incredible, but if you pay enough attention to proper nutrition in a person's life from the very beginning, most (yes, most) diseases that occur in adulthood could be avoided. Therefore, in order to organize proper nutrition, the following basic principles must be observed.

The first principle in a person's life should be constancy. That is, food intake should be done daily at a certain time of the day, as this habit leads to the elaboration of a reflex when the body starts preparing for food by a certain time: saliva, bile are produced, and gastric juice is produced necessary for the complete digestion of food by the body. Thus, the developed reflexes of reception and assimilation of food at a certain time of day facilitate the work of the digestive organs

The second important principle on which proper nutrition is based is fractionality, that is, food intake must be performed several times a day: at least three, and preferably four times. This division of the daily volume of food into several portions allows the body to better absorb it and reduces the load on the digestive organs. Various recent scientific studies have confirmed the fact that eating one or two times a day increases the risk of heart disease and pancreatitis, as our digestive organs have to work with overloads in order to rework and assimilate a large volume of food - health problems.

No less important in human life is the third principle of the organization of nutrition, according to which the food should be balanced in its composition, that is, contain the necessary nutrients (proteins, fats and carbohydrates), vitamins and minerals in the optimal ratio. In particular, the ratio between proteins, fats and carbohydrates should be observed in the following proportions: persons engaged in manual labor need to consume more fats and carbohydrates with the same consumption of proteins compared with the leading sedentary people of mental work, which is explained by the fact that our energy the body receives by splitting carbohydrates and fats, whereas proteins are used as a building material for the body.

In addition to observing the above-mentioned first three principles on the proper nutrition in human life, it is also necessary to adhere to the principle of distributing the food taken during the day for portions of different volumes. With three meals a day, the most useful is the following: breakfast should account for about one-third of the daily ration, for lunch - slightly more than a third and for dinner - less than a third of the daily ration. At the same time, the last meal should be at least three hours before bedtime.

It is to such principles of the organization and the regime that food in human life must be subordinated. Compliance with them must become law. Moreover, adhering to these simple rules, you can significantly prolong life and maintain health for many years.

The composition of the food to be eaten should be as follows.

As a source of protein, first of all, the meat of animals (beef and poultry), cottage cheese, fermented milk products (kefir, bifid), fish, beans (beans, peas, soy, nuts) must be present in the diet. Proteins, as we know, in human life play an important role, as the body is constantly being updated. That is why the scientific proteins are called proteins, that is, they are the primary proteins.

Fats are the main source of energy, and, in addition, the fatty layer in the body protects us from the cold, and the internal organs from mechanical damage. Most of the fats are found in animal and vegetable oils, sour cream, cream, pork, lamb. However, you should not abuse fatty foods, as this can lead to diseases of the cardiovascular system.

Carbohydrates are easily broken down and therefore serve as a quick source of energy. Many carbohydrates are found in cereals and legumes, as well as in vegetables and fruits. For the work of the brain, carbohydrates are needed.

Many of the above products play an important role in human life, as they are also rich in minerals and trace elements, such as phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, sodium, iron, iodine, zinc, copper and many others that participate in metabolic processes hormones, that is, they perform a regulating function in the processes occurring in the body. Vegetables and fruits, as well as the liver of some animals and fish, also contain vitamins, which, like microelements, are not sources of energy, but serve as a regulator and catalyst for all metabolic processes in the body without exception. Therefore, proper nutrition can not be imagined without these substances contained in food.
