Rash on the body of a young child

Have you noticed a rash on your baby's body? The reasons for its appearance can be a lot - from the usual sweating and measles to an allergic reaction. In general, the rash on the body of a young child is not a rare phenomenon. And every mom needs to know what caused such a rash and what needs to be done to help the baby.

Prickly heat. The most harmless kind of rash. The species is rather small, has a pinkish color and slightly rises above the skin. Most often affects babies. Basically, the places of its appearance are the chest, back and neck. The cause of its appearance is overheating or insufficient care for the baby.

The first thing you need to do after finding a little baby's sweating is to wash it with soap and change your underwear. In the future, make sure that your baby does not sweat, change his diapers on time, avoid overheating of the baby. You can also use powder or talc.

Sweating - the disease is not dangerous and not contagious. On the overall health of the baby, it practically does not affect. But adherence to elementary rules of hygiene can easily help you prevent the appearance of this disease.

Vesiculopustuleosis. More unpleasant rash. A characteristic sign of this disease is the appearance of pustular eruptions in the form of small bubbles of yellow or white color. Again, most often observed in infants. If this type of rash is found, immediately consult a doctor.

The rash may appear on any part of the body, even on the head. Crusts remain on the site of the bursting bubbles. The causative agent of a rash of staphylococcus aureus. The main danger of vesiculopustulosis is the ability of the infection to spread throughout the body, due to the bursting of those same vesicles.

When a pustule is found on the body of a small child, carefully remove it with cotton wool and alcohol and cauterize with a strong solution of potassium permanganate (5 percent, almost black) or green. To prevent the spread of infection, you will have to "colorize" your baby.

With vesiculopustule, it is forbidden to bathe a child, since infection from the vesicles through the water can easily spread throughout the body.

Scarlet fever. A small rash resembles semolina. The zone of the lesion is the abdomen, armpits, elbow folds, inguinal folds and inner thighs. Because of the tenderness of the rash, it is sometimes very difficult to notice. The main feature of scarlet fever is the appearance of high fever, vomiting, headache and sore throat (with bright red tonsils).

Treat scarlet fever with the help of antibiotics. However, treatment should be treated very carefully, as this disease can give complications to the heart and kidneys.

If scarlet fever is affected by someone from your child's environment, you should observe it for 7-10 days. It should be remembered that this disease is transmitted not only through direct contact, but also through objects with which the patient has been in contact.

Measles. The rash that is characteristic of this disease is very bright and difficult to confuse with any other kind of rash. It has the form of small papules that slightly rise above the skin. A feature of measles is the sequence of rashes.

First a rash appears on the baby's face, the next day - on the body and hands, and on the third day passes to his feet. The rash does not appear immediately after the baby is sick, but in a few days. In this case, the child has a fever, a runny nose, a rough cough, red eyes, and sometimes photophobia.

With the appearance of a rash, the baby's condition improves. On the spot of the rash for the first few days remains pigmentation, which eventually disappears.

Chickenpox. A characteristic feature of the rash is the appearance of small bubbles with a clear liquid, in place of which, when they burst, a crust forms. It affects the skin of almost any part of the body.

From the moment of infection and until the appearance of a rash on the child's body, 11-21 days pass. The rash lasts for 5 days. Crusts also last much longer.

When bubbles appear, they should be greased with a 5% solution of potassium permanganate (dark) or green. Carry out this procedure should be 12 times a day until the final dropping of the crust.

Rubella. With this disease, the rash is almost the same as with measles or scarlet fever. In this case, without any consistency, it affects any part of the body. Rubella is easily tolerated by children: low temperature, redness of the throat, and sometimes inflammation of the lymph nodes. The disease lasts 2-5 days.

Allergic rash. The most common rash on the body of a small child. The cause of an allergic reaction can be anything: food, medicine, all sorts of irritants and much more.

Externally, an allergic rash resembles a rash from a nettle burn and is often accompanied by itching. Characteristically, such a rash quickly passes after the use of drugs prescribed by a doctor.
