The plot is still kept secret. It is only known that the complex relationship between Fox Mulder and Data Scully will develop in unexpected directions. In this case, Mulder will continue to seek the truth, and Scully - to help him in this.

The Universe of Mulder and Scully.

So it happened! They returned to us again - ten years after the release of the first film and six - after the end of the series. He - still tall and dimpled, she - with intelligent eyes and impetuous movements. He was a little older, she became a little more glamorous. They, as before, are looking for the truth (which is somewhere near), and the truth has traditionally escaped. Mulder and Scully - Fox and Dana - how did we miss you!

You remember (you, of course, remember), how did it all start? Nine seasons of the series changed during the show from the cults to the frankly unsuccessful: Mulder was led either to the other world, or to extraterrestrials, Scully finally mired in abstruse reasoning, the Syndicate remained undisclosed and unpunished, the world government-alien plot was not disclosed. The first film was frankly not very - well, at least, much inferior to the series.

The second full-length film about the adventures and reflections of two FBI agents went to us for a long time, hard and stumbling through numerous inconsistencies, disagreements and judicial disassembly. The director of the long-suffering "X-Files 2: I want to believe", as in the first full meter, was Chris Carter, and he led the team - most of all somehow participated either in the work on the series, or in projects close to the spirit (for example, was such a "Millennium" ...).

The second "Materials" became truly secret. Not a single ray of light broke through to the thirsty from the set, there was not even the smallest puncture on the montage, no one ever blurted out ... The actors received their "parties" (a reduced page view of the script for one day) on the days when they were to be removed, and on each copy the name of the actor in the form of a watermark was put down. At the end of each day of shooting, the "parties" were collected and destroyed. The names of people and their heroes were fictitious in the lists of actors called to the shooting, and schedules of filming. In the contracts of the actors, the count "on non-disclosure" was the first.

And millions of fans around the world languished in ignorance until the day of "X". And they waited - here it is, go, look. What do you feel now, when everyone saw?

The film evokes ambivalent feelings. Probably, even the army of fans will be severed in half, and the film will be equivalent to both praise and spit ...

So, from the obvious advantages of the tape: first, thinking about the nature of faith, about faith as a necessity. If you want to live, believe. In God, in hell, in aliens, in a toaster, in love - believe. The slogan with faith is a reference for the knowledgeable in the first season, to the pilot series ("I want to believe that my sister is alive") and for the supervisors - to the office to Mulder, where the old poster "I Want to Believe" hangs against the background of a flying saucer. And for those especially dedicated: the question of faith has always been a cornerstone for Mulder. This is their "separation", remember: Mulder is faith, Dana is knowledge.

Someone will say that this is a minus, but I'll risk taking this moment to pluses. The fascinating mysticism of the first seasons has grown, has changed. Instead of tickling the nerves of adventure mystery, a serious, exhausting irrationality of reality emerged. It's scary not that among us - green men. It's scary that we are green men.

The most important and most unpleasant minus: the interpersonal magic has disappeared. That invisible eroticity of touches and looks, breathing in one plane and understanding from the half-word dissolved into ... (spoiler!). Perhaps this is a tribute of time. Perhaps the find of the director. But for some reason it's sad: Mulder and Scully are like everyone else ...

To everyone who watched the show, go to the movies. Those who did not watch the series - go, do not regret it. Young, old, wise, stupid, lovers of chewing popcorn and fastidious aesthetes - this must be seen by everyone. I want to believe that you will like the movie.
