Of course, you can buy ready-made crackers in the store, but it's much more pleasant to cook them at home, having pleased loved ones, friends and, of course, yourself! "Smoked crackers" - the name, which in this case characterizes the taste of cookies, and not the way of its preparation!
Ingredients:- Flour, wheat, self-elevating 250 g
- Butter 125 g
- Cheese hard smoked 80 g
- Sauce Worcester 20 ml
- Salt 10 g
- Paprika smoked 10 g
- Smoked sausages 100 g
- Step 1 Take chilled butter, smoked cheese, flour, Worcestershire sauce and smoked sausages like chorizo or salchichon. I used self-rising flour, if you do not have it, just sift the same amount of flour through a sieve and add 1 tsp. baking powder.
- Step 2 Finely chop cheese on grater. Cut small pieces of sausage.
- Step 3 Rub the oil and flour into crumbs. Use a well-cooled dish for this, especially in summer. Add the paprika.
- Step 4 Add the sliced sausages, cheese, salt, Worcestersky sauce to the butter and flour crumb and start kneading the dough, stretching the mixture with the palm. If the dough turns out too thick, it is permissible to add 2 tbsp to it. l. cold water or milk, but not more.
- Step 5 Put the dough into the bowl with your hands. It is "gather" because it must remain friable. Cover and remove for 30 minutes in the refrigerator. Turn on the oven at 200 ° C.
- Step 6 Roll the dough into a thin layer between two layers of baking paper.
- Step 7 Crackers can be any shape you want. Use your favorite cookie cutlery. Remove the excess dough from the paper and bake the crackers in the preheated oven for 6-8 minutes, gently placing the paper sheet and cookies on the baking tray.
- Step 8 Cool the crackers completely before serving.
