Rinse cucumber well. Cut the cucumbers into small circles. In a small bowl, mix cucumbers, onions and salt. Stir. Add cucumbers with ice. Leave to stand at room temperature for two hours. In a saucepan, bring the sugar, vinegar and spices to a boil. Drain the liquid from cucumbers and onions. Add the vinegar and bring the mixture to the boil. Remove from heat and cool. You can store cucumbers in sealed jars for up to 3 weeks in the refrigerator.
