Stars with mental disorders: 7 case histories

The domestic mentality does not allow to speak openly about the psychological problems of man, this topic is considered shameful and closed to discussion. Especially often mental disorders are subject to creative personalities, who often bring their spiritual health to the altar of art. Who of the Russian celebrities still had to seek professional help from psychiatrists?

Vasily Stepanov

Six months ago, the star of the "Inhabited Island" wanted to settle scores with life, jumping out of the third-floor window of his house in Moscow. The actor was lucky, he got rid of fractures and bruises. And if his life now does not threaten anything, then the psychological state of Vasily leaves much to be desired. The problems started because of the incredible popularity, which suddenly fell on the young actor after the release of the blockbuster Fyodor Bondarchuk. Stepanov did not pass the test of glory, and when the passions subsided and he began to forget, fell into a deep depression. The disease developed so rapidly that soon he needed qualified help. In 2010, he fell into a psychiatric clinic with a diagnosis of "manic depression", to which schizophrenia was added after a suicide attempt.

Alexey Poluyan

The role of a maniac in Alexey Balabanov's thriller "Gruz 200", which made him famous, became for the actor a practically fatal sentence. Agreeing on it for the sake of money, he later very much regretted his decision. Poluyan repeatedly admitted that "Gruz 200" broke his life. After filming, he suffered a nervous breakdown, against which chronic diseases worsened. Alexei lost interest in life and made no attempts to improve his health. He went to a remote village and died there in utter solitude.

Viktor Sukhorukov

Such a fate could hardly be avoided by another "balaban" actor Viktor Sukhorukov. Films of the famous director played a fatal role in his life: "Brother" and "Brother-2" were glorified in all the post-Soviet space, and the role in the film "About freaks and people" brought the actor to "psychiatric hospital". A severe psychological disorder exacerbated the uncontrolled use of alcohol, which resulted in Sukhorukov being treated at the Bekhterev Clinic for a long time from a metal psychosis. The treatment gave a positive result, and for twenty years the actor does not touch alcohol.

Andrey Krasko

Passion for alcohol and a subtle soul organization several times brought the talented actor to the mental hospital. The first time he got there while still a student at the Theater Institute. So the impressionable impression of Krasko was the divorce from his wife, who went to his friend and classmate Igor Sklyar. Since then, the actor has repeatedly got into the "psychiatric hospital" in a state of "white fever", but he could not cope with his illness.

Lolita Milyavskaya

A popular singer is a frequent visitor in a psychiatric clinic named after Kashchenko. She explains her visits by nervous overwork, but in the secular get-together she is well aware of her long-time passion for alcohol. To drink, Lolita became addicted after a divorce from Alexander Tsekalo, who plunged the singer into a protracted depression.

Irina Dubtsova

With the diagnosis of "severe neurosis" several times the singer and composer Irina Dubtsova addressed psychiatrists. The actress badly suffered a divorce from her husband, Plazma's soloist Roman Chernitsyn. Two years later she again turned to the doctors with the same problem. This time the cause of the singer's nervous breakdown was personal confusion with the dentist Tigran Malyants, with whom Dubtsova planned to build a happy family relationship. But the former spouse did not want to let Tigran go and made a real baiting to the actress, threatening her and her child.

Dima Bilan

The patient of the clinic named after Kashchenko happened to visit the singer Dima Bilan. Immediately after the death of his first producer and "godfather creative father" Yuri Aizenshpisa Bilan immediately broke the contract with his production center and concluded a new one with Viktor Baturin. Many colleagues in the shop condemned Dima for betraying, and then brought him to the "psychiatric hospital."
