Adaptation of the child to school: five rules for parents

The first of September for the first-grader is the beginning of a new life stage: an unfamiliar situation, an unfamiliar collective, many duties. How to prepare a child for school without provoking rejection and neurosis? Psychologists recommend parents to learn five simple rules that will help to facilitate adaptation. The first axiom is the design of the "school" interior in the room: this will accelerate the realization of change and reduce the burden on the child's psyche. Space is divided into several zones - for work, play and recreation - allowing the child to follow the order on his own.

The second rule is patience and benevolence. Yesterday's graduate of the kindergarten is still difficult to cope with the sudden emergence of responsibility. Do not constantly blame him for it.

The third principle is the competent control of the daily regime. In the schedule there should be time not only for lessons, but also for walks, communication with peers and moving classes.

The fourth rule is the logical consequence of the third. Useful hobbies are an important part of the life of a first-grader: a favorite business instills and consolidates skills, teaches you to set goals and achieve their fulfillment.

The fifth axiom is the creation of personal space. The child begins to grow up and the task of the parents is to support him in this self-esteem on this difficult path.
