The recipe for preparation of apfelkrene sauce was discovered and developed in South Germany. There is also another, no less well-known name of this sauce - apple horseradish. Appearance looks like apple puree. Apafelkrene sauce is most often mentioned in recipes of German cuisine. It is customary to serve hot and cold meat dishes, especially beef, and also to smoked fish. The masterpiece of Viennese cuisine is the dish of tafelspitz, which is served with apple horseradish. In Austrian cuisine, apfelkren sauce is used with poultry dishes. When serving warm apricot sauce to the table, it is recommended to add a little butter. Apple horseradish goes well with sausages. Recipe for cooking: 1. Cut apples, grated lemon zest, sugar and salt, pour a small amount of water and cook on low heat until soft. 2. Then grind the resulting mass in a blender or carefully grind until smooth in a mortar, add cream, grated horseradish, lemon juice and mix everything thoroughly. That's all - the apfelcreen sauce is ready! ;)
