Cake with banana and poppy This cake was prepared by Jamie Oliver for his grandmother in one of the issues of his program "Live tasty with Jamie Oliver" titled "Tiger". Being a man who does not experiment on his grandmother, Jamie decided to please her with a traditional banana pie. This cooking is similar to chemistry: some products rise, others change color and all at the same time. To ensure that everything is done well, we will be attentive, observing the proportions, and everything will necessarily happen!
Ingredients:- Butter 170 g
- Baking powder 2 tsp.
- Flour, wheat 340 g
- Salt 2 pinch
- Poppy 2 tbsp. l.
- Vanillin 3 pinch
- Sour cream 3 tbsp. l.
- Eggs of chicken 4 pcs.
- Bananas 1 pc.
- Sugar 170g
- Lemon 1 pc.
- Sugar 40 g
- Orange 1 pc.
- Step 1 For the test, we need: softened butter, sugar, banana, eggs, sour cream, poppy, salt, vanillin, baking powder and flour.
- Step 2 Beat softened butter and sugar.
- Step 3 In the resulting mass, break the pieces of a banana and whisk until the banana is transformed into puree.
- Step 4 Add the egg yolks.
- Step 5 Introduce the poppy seeds and sour cream.
- Step 6 Sift the flour, add a pinch of salt, baking powder and vanillin.
- Step 7 We knead the dough until a homogeneous wet mass is obtained.
- Step 8 Whisk the proteins with a pinch of salt into the foam and add 6 tbsp. l. sugar, once again whisk.
- Step 9 Slowly introduce proteins into the dough, gently stir.
- Step 10 Lubricate the shape (diameter 25-30 cm) with butter and pour the dough into it.
- Step 11 Bake the cake for 1 hour in a preheated oven to 160 ° C.
- Step 12 For the syrup, we need to mix sugar, juice, lemon and orange peel.
