Dependence on telephones and computers

If you were on an uninhabited island, and you were offered a single object for smuggling, what would you choose? Your favorite jam? Champagne and caviar? To be honest, most of us will ask for an Internet-connected mobile device.

Is it spelled out? Our affection for kgadets is stronger than we think. According to research conducted by Nokia, users of "mobile phones" check their phone every six and a half minutes. Also it was found out that 70 percent of active users of mobile devices experience syndromantom vibration. Those suffering from the syndrome feel a vibration, even when the telephone is in another room, or they grab for it with complete certainty that it vibrates to the call, but it was found that it did not buzz at all.

During a friendly feast we huddle in the photo of Instagram, completely ignoring the friends sitting next to each other. It comes to the fact that on the plane we are wiping our phones in anticipation of reports of our fall to the ground. This behavior independent of us becomes a priority in our actions, whether it is conscious or not. Professor of the University of California, psychologist Larry Rosen says that our managing nerve centers are in a state of constant attack on the idea that we need to look and test our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, and if we do not, we can miss something important. Dr. Rosen regards this passion as an obsession, because after checking his mobile devices, we do it not to get pleasure from the fresh news and messages read, but we are guided by the desire to feel less anxious. Refusing to check and update the pages in social networks is much more difficult than hobbies with alcohol or tobacco.

You can test yourself if your addiction has not outgrown. Ask yourself in front of the monitor: "Why do I check? Am I supposed to owe someone? And if I do not look, will I miss something important? Should you be nervous because of this or go crazy? ". If the conclusions are not in your favor, then it is necessary to be free from this dependence. Psychologists propose to schedule the time of work in such a way as to periodically or actively load your brain, or give him a full rest. To relax the brain after every hour and a half, take a break - get off the screen and walk five minutes. Once you are sure that you can live without your device for several minutes every hour and a half, aim at the next step - learn to switch channels of your own brain and focus at the right time.

First, take a few minutes to test social networks every 15 minutes. After it's comfortable for you, stretch consecutively the intervals to 20, and then to 25-30 minutes. When you master the thirty-minute interval and you will see that nothing catastrophic happens, you can suppress the pressing feeling of compulsion to enter social networks, forget the anxiety that accompanies it. The quality of your work will only improve. By the way, according to the statistics, the progress of schoolchildren and students, sitting for a "computer" for hours, is much lower than that of actively respawning fellow students.

When your struggle is complete, ask your relatives, colleagues and friends to support your efforts and not so often send you messages. If you do not want to hang in a long conversation with your best friend, warn that you have set the limiter on the phone, for example, for 20 minutes or so. This will stop you from impulsive conversation and your friend will appreciate you more. You will have more time for personal communications, which is much better than "Internet" virtual ones.

When you have a normal practice of communication using technical means, you will not want an iPhone on your own island, but you want to see VIPs of your life live.
