Unfortunately, many women of our time have formed some kind of conservative attitude to maternity leave, both to the period of "personal imprisonment" and the lack of intellectual development ... I want to look at this problem from the opposite side and find many additional opportunities for this remarkable period in the life of a woman.
"If you want to change the type of activity - go to the decree!" - so I will speak to each woman thinking about this issue, based on her own experience and personal prejudices. I really want every woman to appreciate and use this wonderful period of her life with the maximum benefit for herself and her family.
I came to this conclusion for a reason. I experienced the possibilities and limitations of women in the decree on my own experience. Yes, in fact, the birth of a child and caring for him entail a lot of responsibilities and time, but if you use your time rationally, you can do a lot of things that you did not have time to do before. And if in the house there is also an assistant to care for the child (husband, mother or mother-in-law, sister, etc.), then you will have at least 1-1.5 hours of extra time for rest or a useful lesson.
So, let's talk about the benefits of a remarkable period in the life of a woman - maternity leave.
1. You master one unofficial, but the main profession of life is "mother".
What can be more beautiful in life, like caring for babies and raising their own children? You have 24 hours a day to get closer to your baby. When in your life will you have such an opportunity? You learn to sit together, walk, talk, and after a year - to improve the acquired skills. You are both grieved and happy, together you know the world around you. It is known that the child's brain most actively "absorbs" information in the first three years of life. You have the maximum opportunity to teach your "treasure" to all the basics of modern life, and at the same time to learn a lot.
2. Modern life provides us with many opportunities for personal growth and development at home.
This is not the 80's, when there could be no phone in the house. Now, in the presence of mobile communication, the Internet can, at least 20-30 minutes a day, give development of their intellectual abilities. You can even begin to learn a foreign language or, for example, to come up with your business plan (maybe it will come in handy).

3. The decree entails reducing the family's income by exactly one salary. In turn, this gives an incentive for a woman to seek and find a source of additional income.
Perhaps you will wonder why a woman should earn money by sitting in a decree. Of course, it's good if your husband earns enough to satisfy all your and your family's needs, but if you make ends meet, then it would be advisable to earn some money even for your cosmetics.

You can knit - knit to order, you can write abstracts or translate texts - advertise and look for customers, you can "get a job" as a distributor in network marketing and distribute cosmetics among the moms of your peers, in the end, you can even find earnings on the Internet. All in your hands!
4. Maternity leave gives you the opportunity to live according to the schedule personally to your and your child, and not according to the schedule of the employer.
Personally for me, such a layout is more convenient than getting up at six, it's not clear how long to sit and sit in the office doing routine work. I do not deny that the schedule of the mother and the little child is very tense, but this is your personal schedule, and not settled by someone from above.
Someone will say that this is all unreal, that the child takes all the free time, 24 hours a day, that there is no time for rest, not to mention the rest. But everything is in your hands! If you want, you can always find something that, it would seem, is not, and time too.
Taking care of my daughter, I have rethought a lot, learned a lot. Decent leave for me was not a reason for depression and samopostva, this is a great period for realizing yourself as a woman, a period when you do not need to ask the boss, but only your beloved and dear child. This period can never be returned, it can only be used with maximum benefit.
And if you sooner or later want to change the type of activity - go to the decree. This is an occasion to rethink life, learn a lot, and in the future - to keep up with the times not on your two, but at least on four legs and legs. Good luck!
