Eurovision-2017 may not take place in Ukraine

The victory of Ukrainian singer Jamala at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, which took place this year in Stockholm, turned into a real holiday in the homeland of the singer. Particular delight in the Ukrainian audience was caused by the fact that the Ukrainian actress won a Russian singer with a song about the Crimea.

By tradition, next year the music contest is hosted by the winner country. The Ukrainian leadership enthusiastically reacted to the honorable mission of hosting a popular festival in 2017 in one of the Ukrainian cities. It was decided even to hold an internal contest between the cities-applicants for the right to conduct Eurovision-2017.

However, two months after Jamala's triumphant victory, it became clear that the holding of the Eurovision-2017 contest in Ukraine turned out to be a big question.

Ukraine may refuse to hold the "Eurovision 2017"

When the authorities of Ukraine began to decide exactly where to hold the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, it turned out that at the moment there is no suitable site in the country. The largest stadium in Ukraine - the "Olympic" in Kiev does not have a roof, and the rules of the contest provide for the use of only indoor halls.

There is another complex on the Stolichnoye Highway, but there is still construction, for which it is necessary to "lay out" at least $ 70 million. The Kiev officials have one month left to decide on the place for Eurovision-2017. If the output is not found, the right to conduct the tender will be transferred to another country.
