From the history of pancakes Long ago, even in the times of Kievan Rus, the pancakes had a large number of different names: aladis, olanki, slides, pancakes, slices, pancakes, alabyshs and oleabyshs. And those people who were very fond of pancakes, called dumbbells. At the same time, there was even a special utensils for the preparation of pancakes - oladnitsy or ladki - represented this special heavy cast-iron frying pans. The same name was given to the dishes in which the fritters were served to the table. Although all these names differed in different regions of Russia, but they always had the same root. According to historians, most likely, it originated on behalf of the ancient Slavic goddess Lada, who personified spring, love and beauty. Thus, like pancakes, pancakes can be called a reminder of our pagan past, as they were originally prepared at a certain time of the year (Shrovetide) and dedicated to the pagan gods.
Ingredients:- Squash 1000 g
- Eggs chicken 5 pcs.
