How to draw Cupid
Naughty Cupid is the most important character of Valentine's Day. This chubby little boy pierces the hearts of people with his sharp arrows, so that more and more lovers will appear on the Earth every year. Why not draw it on your valentine? Believe me, this is not difficult! If you are afraid of messing up a postcard, practice drawing on a normal album sheet.
Step 1
With a simple pencil, draw a sketch of the head: draw a circle and put the orientation lines for the location of the spout, eyes and lips on the face. Do not press the pencil too much. The lines must be thin so that the eraser can easily correct the error in case of failure. Carefully watch what details appear on the sample, and try to keep the same proportions and the direction of the lines in your drawing.
Step 2
Head "plant" on a large, slightly modified oval. This body. Cupid is usually portrayed as a plump, fat baby, so do not skimp on the volumes. However, make sure that all parts of the boy's body are in the same "weight category".
Step 3
Let's turn to the pens. Draw on each side of the body two ovals that cross each other. At each extreme oval, draw a circle - this is the future brush.

Now the legs. Sketches for them will be created on the same principle as for the hands: two overlapping ovals on each leg. Cupid has big eyes, a nose with potatoes, a smiling mouth and plump cheeks. Also draw on his head a shock of curly hair.
Step 6
Finally, we gather the circles and ovals together, forming the body. Circle its outline and draw additional details - wrinkles, fingers, pointed feathers of wings. Do not forget about the weapon of a sharp shooter. In the left hand of the boy "enclose" the curved bow, and in the right hand - the arrow in the form of the heart.
Step 7
At the final stage, circle the image with a thin black marker. You can experiment with the thickness of the so-called modular line, which goes from thin to thick and vice versa. This will give your drawing a more professional look.
Step 8
Wipe down a simple pencil in the places where it still remains. For coloring Cupid use light pastel shades, because this baby is the very embodiment of serenity and tenderness.
