With the advent of winter, every mom wants her baby to be warm while walking in the fresh air. But the appearance of winter clothes plays no less important role. You can independently turn the most ordinary things, for example, mittens, into the original subject of the child's wardrobe. Believe me, your baby will definitely be delighted with the hedgehogs. They can be easily done by one's own hands in several ways.

Knitting rules for knitted mittens

Before you start working on creating unusual hedgehogs, you should learn how to knit the usual and practice a little. For this, you can use two or five spokes. We offer you a method using only two, because it is easier and will suit even novice craftsmen.

It is better to take narrow knitting needles so that the loops lie evenly. The future product is formed from several parts, which later are sewn together. First measure the wrist and calculate the number of loops. After that, start knitting an elastic band - this will be the base of the mitt that lies on the wrist. Then tie another 4 centimeters and remove the 12 loops, from which you will later form the workpiece for the thumb.

Continue to knit until the mitten reaches the desired length. Then go back to the removed loops and tie them along the width of the finger. In the end, you will get half a mitten. The second part is done in the same way, only without the thumb, and then we sew the parts of the product with an imperceptible seam.

How to knit mittens, hedgehogs?

There are several ways to help you make the original winter clothes original. In order to turn traditional mittens into hedgehogs, you will need special yarn-weed.

The right choice of yarn

One of the important roles is played by yarn. Choose the one in which the percentage of wool is higher. However, it should be borne in mind that natural wool is sometimes pricked. Therefore, be sure to try the thread to touch or sew on the wrong side of the mittens fleece.

To get a small amount of yarn for knitting the hedgehogs, you can dissolve an old woolen sweater. Make sure that the threads are of the same thickness, since in the finer places later breaks can form.

Mitten-hedgehogs are made quite quickly, but can serve as an excellent New Year gift for your baby. If for some reason you can not connect the product by yourself, you can always decorate ready-made mittens and turn them into hedgehogs, showing very little imagination.
