It is believed that the Archangel Michael came in a dream to the father of a dumb girl and suggested that she could speak if she took a swallow of water from a certain source. The father listened to what he saw in a dream, and his daughter spoke, drinking water from the spring. In gratitude, the man and his family erected a church in honor of the holy Archangel Michael near this sacred spring. For sixty years he praised the one God.
But the Gentiles did not like this, and they decided to destroy the temple, devising a cunning plan. According to this plan, the two rivers were reunited in a single channel and sent to the direction of the temple. At a time when the water was to demolish the building on its way, there was a priest in the temple, he prayed with all his might to the Archangel Michael and asked for help. And now, when the water had already approached the church, Saint Michael arose and protected the temple with his iron sword. He struck the sword on the mountain, there appeared a cleft, which absorbed all the water, leaving the temple unharmed.
In honor of this event, Christians began to celebrate the holiday, which is called Mihailov Miracle or Remembrance of the miracle of Archangel Michael. He falls on September 19, and around his celebration people make legends.
