Sbiten is one of the most common drinks that was once in Russia. In Moscow taverns drank it hot and cold. The taste of sbintha is very similar to a honey drink. It consisted of: ginger, sage, valerian root, St. John's wort and other herbs. Preparation: Pour water into a pan, boil, then let cool a little. Raspberry juice and honey (natural) is added to the hot water. This mixture is brought to a boil, and about two hours of boiling, stir constantly, do not forget to remove the foam. The resulting beverage is cooled to room temperature, then there is added yeast, and leave the clock for ten to twelve ferment. When the required time passes, the resulting infusion is drained into a large container (a bottle or barrel), then tightly closed, and for about one month put in a cold place to insist. When the time expires, we pour sbiten into bottles, close the bottles, and put them in a cool place for storage (bottles are folded in a horizontal position). Serve sbiten in a cold form.
