All this is true, and is usually implemented, but for married women, the concepts of "want" and "need" are usually mistaken over time. She may want a new cleanser, or a set of towels, or new shoes to her daughter, and only then something to herself. Working in such positions gives the woman the opportunity to feel important, useful, necessary.
