Throughout the world and Russian history, several times such projects have been adopted and rejected. Therefore, it is possible to assume in advance all possible pluses and minuses.
Undoubtedly, the ban on the interruption of pregnancy will lead to an increase in the number of babies born. If we look at the statistics, it will immediately show how the fertility rates plummeted. However, statistics, as you know, gives only "cold" figures. What is behind every single digit? How many of these newborns will actually be desired after the abortion ban? After all, it is worth taking into account the social origin of these babies. In general, representatives of the weaker sex resort to abortion for several, but fairly objective reasons.
First, when pregnancy occurred earlier than adulthood. Then the abortion of the girl is prompted not only by life circumstances, but also by immediate relatives. In Russia, among such a population, the birth rate has always been at a fairly high level, with the introduction of a ban on abortion, it will increase again. Do we need a surge of just such birth rate? Difficult question. Because, in ten or fifteen years, socially unprotected lower classes, which after the ban will become even more, can seriously weaken the socially stable Russian society.
