- Spaghetti - 450 Grams
- olive oil - 1/4 cup
- clove garlic - 1 piece
- red chili pepper - 1 piece
- Salt and ground pepper - - To taste
- lemon peel - 1 piece
- lemon - 1 piece
- fresh basil - 1/2 cup
- grated Parmesan cheese - - To taste
Bring salt water to a boil in a large saucepan. Add the pasta, reduce the heat and cook, according to the instructions on the package. Drain the water from the pasta, putting aside 1/2 cup of liquid. Add olive oil, garlic and chili (or red pepper flakes) to the pan. Cook, stirring, on low heat for 3 to 4 minutes. Add spaghetti and stir. Add the zest, lemon juice, basil and stored liquid from the pasta, if necessary. Season with salt and pepper, stir. Remove from heat. Remove garlic and chili. Divide the pasta evenly between 4 plates, sprinkle with grated cheese, sprinkle with olive oil and serve immediately.
