"Only old men go into battle", 1973
Soviet feature film, shot by Leonid Bykov with him in the title role. The picture tells about the "singing" squadron of Captain Titarenko and about the "old men" who were no more than 20, but who felt the whole "taste" of the war. Coming to the screens, the film collected an incredible number of spectators - there were 44,300,000 of them, as well as many prestigious awards. The song "Smuglyanka" became a visiting card of the picture, and the replicas of the heroes quickly split into quotations, which are still in use. In 2009, the film was colorized and restored, becoming refreshed.
"Before the Dawn", 1989

The protagonist is the 16-year-old Fleur, who witnesses the horrors of the Nazi punitive action and leaves for the partisan detachment. Passing through the horrors of war, Fleur turns from a cheerful boy to a real old man, distorted by horror and pain. The picture turned out really hard and won many prestigious awards.
"Zhenya, Zhenya and" Katyusha ", 1967
Tragicomedy about Zhenya Kolyshkina is an educated, kind and honest guy from an intelligent family.
