The personal life of Oleg Tabakov

Without Tabakov, many of us would not have a happy childhood. This is his voice says cat matroskin in "Prostokvashino", it's his eyes pierced by everyone in "17 moments of spring". The personal life of Oleg Tabakov is full of bright and colorless paints, but still bright colors are more present.

Happiness ended with the outbreak of war, Tabakov was only 6 years old. Father and mother - doctors - did their work, and the main in life were loving grandmothers. From the influence of the street the boy decided to save in the theatrical circle of the local Palace of Pioneers and schoolchildren. Actually, everything started there. It is the head of the theatrical Saratov studio, Oleg Pavlovich still considers "a godmother in the profession.

Unlike many colleagues, in his personal life Oleg Tabakov did not have to storm the capital theatrical universities - he enrolled at once to two institutes - to GITIS and to the Moscow Art Theater School named after Nemirovich-Danchenko ... He chose the Moscow Art Theater School-Studio. Since then he has been playing ... A list of his roles in theater and cinema would take up more than one page, plus teaching (and not only in Russia, but also abroad: his lectures in America were attended by Murray Abraham and Dustin Hoffman) two theaters - Moscow Art Theater. Chekhov and the famous "Snuffbox" ... But he calls himself not a director, but a "crisis manager", who managed to not only revive him in difficult times for the theater, but also to return viewers there. Tabakov's personal life is also being discussed with pleasure: 15 years have already passed since the marriage of 60-year-old Tabakov at the 30-year-old actress Marina Zudina, and disputes on this topic have not abated so far. Meanwhile, Tabakov, not particularly worried about how great was the calculation on the part of Marina (before marriage, their relationship lasted neither much nor little 12 years), is happy with the birth of children - Paul and Masha. It is in them that he sees the meaning of existence and the source of strength

In his jubilee 75 he actively withdraws, plays Tartuffe on stage, directs the theaters, gives flowers to his beloved women and tries to keep pace with modern youth. About a troubled profession, about the relationship between people and viewers - Oleg Tabakov said in an interview.

- You know, Oleg Pavlovich, with people like you, I do not want to talk about what is clear from your affairs, roles.

Thanks for that!

- This is for you for everything.

Yes, I have something? I'm doing something I love, and I bring joy to others! It turns out that he himself is happy, and I also make others happy. So, you, for example, feel happy when you are watching a good movie or a performance?

- Highly!

Even if nothing new was discovered, heard or seen?

- Even so!

Here you are - a very conscious viewer. "From our detachment," as the acting brothers say!

- You always communicate with the public. Are you interested and do you need it after all that you saw, learned?

Oh, oh ... Of course. I always talk to my audience. In the bazaar, in the store, with neighbors on the landing. Of course, I do not bother myself. Do not think of anything like that. I just always listen to people who want to say something, to find out. After all, I myself was so in my youth.

- How?

And such here! Without a king in my head (laughs). It is the destiny of youth and youth to live like running around the field with daisies and cornflowers. On all the pairs, to fly, to fly.

- If you look at the age, among the fans Tabakov more young or older?

My fans are good because they are many, and they are all different. Really different. And someone comes up with a bunch of lilies of the valley, and someone brings a basket of flowers, and still gives some money to the theater. The main thing is that they all come to the theater out of love for me, and as a result they get pleasure and emotions from everything in their entirety. That's what's important. Do you understand? The main thing is that each of them (well, I hope that everyone), who came to the theater, looks out of his walls in a completely different state and mood.

- Was there a performance in your life that made you a "different person"?

I am 75 years old! And I've loved the theater since childhood. Do you think there could be something like this in my life? Of course, it was. Another question is that by the age of 75, not all of you already remember. More precisely, not so. Remember, but not so good. You know, because human memory is arranged in such a way that our box keeps more good than bad. So about the performances that have changed me. Of course, these are the productions of the Contemporary, the Lyubimov's plays. But the most important thing is modern plays. Who are clinging and doing experiments on me today. These are the productions of Nina Chusova, Kirill Serebrennikov, Raikin, Mashkov, Butusov. I have not listed all this far.

- What do you do to maintain talent?

Talent? And then I thought, you will talk about my forms inelegant. In fact, in life, freshness of perception is important. That's when you are young, you perceive everything for the first time. And in general, the most powerful impressions, ideas about the world are laid from 2 to 5 years, so the role of parents here is very high. And then gradually the doors are closed, the boxes are full, and you begin to use what is inside. Gradually, you lose interest in what surrounds you. Suddenly, for some reason it seems that when you were young, and the music was better, and the books are more interesting. By the way, this is not always the case. Just the aesthetics around us is changing - it's inevitable.

- Since you yourself said about the form ... Do you think about extra pounds?

If I had not sinned, I would not have thought. I'm talking about the sin of gluttony, by the way. In general, for the performance I lose from 800 grams to a kilogram. But since the loss is palpable, I'm here, and I compensate for it with five pies. That's my whole diet!

- You have experienced the joy of fatherhood four times. Which one was the most tremulous, unusual?

Pasha and Masha, which gave birth to Marina. Sasha, the daughter of the first marriage, Anton - he's a boy. And men are always the first to want boys. I saw Anton in the hospital, I immediately understood - my! In general, both the charm and hardship of fatherhood was felt when Anton and Sasha studied in high school. When there were already some schools, teenage problems. Then I realized that I was responsible for them, and for their actions. There was even such a case - Anton broke the glass, somewhere with the guys in the gateway port drank, he was detained by the police, and after that he also did not go to school for a long time. And then I thought: "Is it something I'm doing wrong? Maybe my children do not see how to live? "But, honestly, Pasha and Masha - this is my happiness. I just bathe in them. And they are in me. We have our own games, conversations, and cartoons with films. When Marina leaves somewhere for shooting or on tour, we do not have any need for nannies. I take them, I drive everywhere, and they, in turn, behave like angels. By themselves.

Quietly. Only then, of course, some actors appear. That head is tossed back, then sigh somehow in a special way. It is amazing.

- Many people know that you are in charge of two theaters, in which the stars of the Russian theater and cinema work. All of them openly and secretly admit that you are a tremendous, unique leader. At the same time, you are engaged in theater, you play 75 years on stage, you make films and remain moderately modern ... How to combine? How to manage?

Very simple. You need to love your profession. Do only your favorite business. Talk with people loving them. Give always a chance to correct and not build a reputation, but just be it. And in order to be an authority among 20-30-year-old people, one must remember what he dreamed of himself in his youth. But this is not the main thing.

- Share the main?

Read Shakespeare. "Hamlet" is a book in which you can find many answers and new questions. At some point, probably, I was about 30-33 years old, I said the text of Hamlet:

"The habit is the enemy of all life," and he began to live just like that! Do not get used, but live. Although I adore comfort. Good to eat - I love. To sit with friends in a good restaurant - certainly. When they show football or hockey - I would not leave the house at all. So judge for yourself-my habits are bad or not.

- And in life Oleg Tabakov - a harmful person for loved ones?

What are you ... What are you ... I'm a man in the prime of life, as Carlson said. I am absolutely comfortable in everyday life. I demand small, but concrete. That is, if Pasha's son knows that in the morning I drink black tea with three tablespoons of sugar, a white loaf with butter and apricot jam, then for breakfast I get just that.

- Have you trained yourself?

No. What are you ... It's just that we in our family are made to make each other pleasant and good. To their women - in the sense of a wife and daughter - I always give flowers just like that. It's better to forget about March 8, because everyone does this. But always remember about gifts and flowers - this, in my opinion, is more correct.

- And nicer. I tell you this as a woman!

That's what I think! And I wish that next to each woman there was a man who simply remembered her, and not about some formal holidays.

- And what is missing a modern woman, do you think?

Freedom from the framework and conventions that lovely ladies managed to acquire over the past half-century. And yet - learn not to hide feelings. You need to be open and talking

- "I love", "I want", "I know".

"But men love riddles." Why should we put all the cards in front of you at once?

That's why it's not enough to be just a woman. It is necessary to be a wise woman who will say this so that a man, if he does not even love her, will think: "What if it's my destiny?" Do you see? Nobody would ever say that I will cooperate with the powers that be. And how surprised everyone was when he showed that I could. Do you think that I am from big ambitions? No! I just wanted that in the theater, which for many years huddled in the cellars and various buildings, was made real repair to the actors sewing chic, real costumes. That the actors could after a rehearsal normally and tasty eat in the dining room, drink tea in their dressing room and then at 7 pm to go out beautiful, collected and change, to subdue the viewer. That's for the sake of all this, I'm cunning, but honestly.

- Do not you step on the throat of your own song?

No. Absolutely. I will repeat it once more. All that I do is with pleasure and only because I understand the importance of my actions and what they entail.

Is this a mission for you?

Mission? It sounds too loud. No. You know, in the genius theatrical director Jury Butusov, Hamlet poses the question not "To be or not to be", but "Be that which will be. Everything is fixable. " So I do not try to persuade myself to do something for the sake of the theater, but I just do it. Fate, as Ranevskaya said, is still that whore. I hope, she will give me more time to do the necessary things.

"Do you think about death?"

I do not only think about it, I know a lot about it!

"Are you tired of being afraid?"

My first heart attack happened at the age of 29. After that, there were occasional times, events. And every time, no matter how brave I am, death still showed my face. So I looked into it. And more than once. And having looked, I know that it is not worth to be afraid of this old woman.
