The urgency of the problem of separate education of boys and girls

If you look through the history of education in Europe, you can see that a few decades ago there were separate schools for boys and girls. Do we need to adhere to this principle now? The theme of our today's article is "The urgency of the problem of the separate education of boys and girls."

Most modern adults remember that in their childhood everything was "the same." Clothing, textbooks, food, caregivers, games, anecdotes, homework. At school, the individual tried to hide the form. In the kindergarten - even the girls' panties were not much different from the panties of the boys. Not to mention pantyhose.

Adults also remember well the stages through which we came to modern abundance and diversity. The feeling of gregariousness argues with requests for individuality - a child can and wants a phone, "like Masha", however, the case of a different color, etc. Even forever the identical twins now do not want to resemble each other.

Children demand attention to their individuality. Not like any outfit, hair, and even individual training. In my city, parents with the ability to pay from 100 dollars a month for the education of a child are sorted out by rumors and gossip, communicate personally with future teachers of the child, they look for and ... come to individual education.

Why is that? It is clear that they are motivated by the desire to develop all the unique abilities of the child and not to ignore either of them. But in this case, the child's connection with the socium is lost. Communicative does not develop "on its own". Do not get skills learned how to behave in a group of other children or adults. Many developing group games are also inaccessible to the child with individual training. As a result, modern children's pedagogy and psychology agree that if parents want the child to be able to communicate constructively with other people, he should start teaching this as early as possible and in groups. The question "how?"

The population's request for a highly qualified approach to the upbringing of children has already been formed. The state, for its part, also wants to see a morally and physically healthy population, moreover, the state wants to fill the leaking "intellectual reserve" of the country. To implement these goals, the education system needs a new, progressive approach to the education of preschool children and schoolchildren.

It is clear that not all children are gifted enough to demand individual training.

However, the existing system of education often does not allow the giftedness to manifest at the initial stage of training and can even help to supersede any "unusual" qualities of the child, which require increased attention on the part of the teacher or educator.

How can we ensure the most individual approach to the training of a small man and the future citizen and at the same time his connection with the society?

One of the possible options - separate education of children on the basis of gender, the urgency of the problem and its transparency are obvious. The boys are separate. The girls are separated. Not new. But, as we remember, everything new is already happening somewhere with someone.

As early as the beginning of the last century, gymnasium students and grammar girls intersected only behind the walls of educational institutions. In Europe and America, such training is widespread and is still popular today.

Throughout the last century, our education system has tried to educate everyone together, without taking into account the fact that girls and boys have significant differences at the level of psychology, perceptions, neurophysiology, physiology. In men and women at any age, the ability to remember, to work, the ways of thinking themselves are so different that they require absolutely different methods for their development, this is one of the proofs of the separate education of boys and girls. Girls and boys need different tasks, different poems, different exercises and completely different ways of presenting information. Also, ways of influencing individuals in a group of boys and girls should differ. Much less factors that hurt the child's psyche will be when teaching in a group differentiated by gender.

Undoubtedly, the teacher will receive a higher result with fewer efforts in the education of "similar" children.

If the same psychological perception prevails in a group of children, the effectiveness of methods used by teachers will increase.

Unfortunately, studies of the separate education of boys and girls were considered in the last century as manifestations of either chauvinism or feminism for a long time. Even in those educational institutions where the founders' innovation allowed the introduction of separate education for boys and girls - the methodological and theoretical basis is weak and based on foreign sources.

The Russian methodology for separate education in pedagogy was formed in the days of pre-revolutionary Russia. Studies by psychologists suggest that the methods of psychotherapy, as well as the psychological problems of the population themselves, have changed over 100 years in a measure sufficient to completely obsolescence of the methods themselves. Accordingly, training on such ancient methods can not be carried out in the 21st century.

Therefore, those children who are currently participating in separate education - require special influence of teachers and child psychologists to determine the effectiveness of the method in general and various techniques in particular.

In Europe, at present, the gender division of education increases its geography day by day, since this approach is adopted as the main way to improve the humanization of education. Now you know all about the urgency of the problem of the separate education of boys and girls and choose the most suitable method for your child.
