Ways to remove moles

Despite the fact that since ancient times, everyone has been saying that birthmarks are in no way to be touched, doctors on the contrary say that they even need to be removed in many cases. Thank God, the time has ended when moles were special marks that are given to a person before birth and that they can directly affect the fate of a person and the like. Now, in the first place is taking care of your health.

Removal of moles in most cases is rather an aesthetic moment. Moles, especially large ones, look quite ugly on the areas of the body open, so there are various safe and painless ways that will permanently rid you of them, without any complications.

In most birthmarks and birthmarks are benign, but it is extremely dangerous to influence them on their own and categorically prohibited. People mostly cause inflammation themselves, treating them casually, for example, pulling out their hair, or when shaving, with intense cleansing of the face, using scrubs.

Indications for the removal of nevi (birthmarks):
- change in volume, size;
- on the edge of the mole, the appearance of a rim of swelling, inflammation;
- Clarification or darkening of stains;
contour curvature;
- Peeling, irritation;

It is necessary to consult an oncodermatologist, or if you do not have such a specialist at the local polyclinic, at least a dermatologist, before you decide to remove the birthmark. This consultation is necessary so that the doctor can tell which way of removal is indicated for a specific patient, based on the health status and characteristics of the mole itself.

Methods of removal of moles: a surgical method, exposure to liquid nitrogen (cryodestruction), exposure to high frequency current (electroagulation), radio knife, and the most effective way of laser exposure.

Doctors say that the most optimal and best way to remove birthmarks is electro-coagulation. After such a procedure, it is possible to send neoplasm to tests immediately, while liquid nitrogen and laser do not provide this. Thermal damage around the area of the mole after electro-coagulation leaves barely noticeable and small traces. What can not be said about other methods - very often there are long non-healing and deeper scars.

The laser, as mentioned above, is the most effective method of removing birthmarks. When using this method, thrombosis of the smallest vessels occurs, which means that blood can be avoided. The damaged area is much better restored than in other ways. The effect of the laser on the patient is practically not felt. This method is an excellent cosmetic effect, especially when it comes to birthmarks on the face.

The surgical method involves a sectional area on the skin at a site of about 3 to 5 centimeters. This is today the most common method, it is also recommended if there is a danger of oncology.

Cryodestruction is the use of liquid nitrogen. Specialists do not consider this method to be preferable and effective, but in practice this method of removing moles takes place. When exposed to liquid nitrogen, healthy areas of the body may also suffer, which, of course, is undesirable.

A radio knife is a new method in the practice of removing moles. This is the safest way, and therefore it is often recommended. The advantage of this method is the complete absence of thermal damage to the skin.
What method do doctors prefer, depending on the initial characteristics of the birthmark itself:
- Condyloma, papillomas, volumetric moles, warts are most often excreted by electroagulation.
- in the event that the birthmark is larger in diameter, 3 centimeters, assigns laser irradiation.
- only surgically remove flat lesions.
