What is the role of intuition in decision making?

Sometimes, while foreseeing an event, the question of where we found this is answered: "Intuition". Are women more than men endowed with a sixth sense? What is the role of intuition in decision making, and is it important?

Listen to yourself!

If your intuition is asleep, you can wake her up. Use the basic techniques and you will discover a new world where you can anticipate events and recognize the essence of people.

Our thinking is cluttered with stereotypes. Television, newspapers, radio - everything around us dictates our definitions of good and bad, creating a pattern of people, things, events. But listen to your feelings! Each of us has an internal bell. He gives his signals that a certain person or place is bad. But we miss them by the ears, because they do not agree with long-imposed stereotypes. Not perceiving internal messages, we lull our intuition.

Children are more intuitive than adults, because their ideas about the world for the time being are a clean sheet. Therefore they live sensations, not using logical thinking. Your inner child constantly communicates with you and tells you on an intuitive level how best to proceed. When you do not know what to do in a particular situation, sit down for a minute, turn off rational thinking and listen to what your heart says.

Gradually following the signals and feelings, you will learn to trust yourself more, and your "awakened" intuition will always prompt you the right answer. We are endowed with intuition from birth. Mostly rely on her children and women. There is a classification according to which people are divided into "logicians" and "emotional". The first are too rational, for them logic is the measure of all things. The latter overestimate the importance of emotions and intuition. Both are extreme. And without logic, and without intuition, there is neither science nor art. Intuition is inherent in everything, it is simple for some people it is more developed from nature. A purely analytical approach, which is based on previous experience, does not always lead to the desired result. Something more is needed that goes beyond the usual. Intuition is an indispensable component of success in a highly competitive environment. Often, it is most clearly manifested in stressful, critical situations, when all mental processes are aggravated and the body is puzzled by one goal: to get out of the situation. All people without exception have intuition. Some have developed it more, some have less. But there are some representatives of the human race, in which this feeling generally "sleeps" because they always act rationally, relying only on logic. Intuition is present at all, and everyone has situations when you can say: "I knew that it would be so." This is intuition. More difficult is the question of whether it can be developed. Since this is an unconscious process, we can not directly engage in the development of intuition. But we have to learn how to listen to the manifestations of the unconscious.

Solution

Intuition is more developed in women - this is a stereotype. More often mention not female intuition, but female logic. And men talk about this, implying that the overwhelming majority of women have no logic in their judgments and behavior. And this is a classic stereotype. Yes, many women are more emotional and tend to trust their intuition than men. But do not you and I know the representatives of the fair sex who have become outstanding scientists and researchers, and men - artists? This stereotypical opinion exists, and it is based, first of all, on the belief that women are more emotional than men. The latter is not peculiar to listen to yourself. They rely on clear and verified data, while women tend to check any situation through the prism of their "emotional comfort". In women, unlike men, intuition is fueled by the maternal instinct, which is responsible for the preservation of offspring. This is true, because women feel everything on a more subtle level than men. There is such a perception that women have a stronger development of this feeling. Women are more emotional, sensitive and more likely to trust intuition than men. Hence the notion that this feeling in women is more developed than in men. In fact, if men trust those intuitive signals that periodically arise from them, then it turns out that the male intuition is not weaker than the female one.
