Who is the head of the family?

When feminism and emancipation became widespread around the world, it was simply indecent to talk about who was more important - a man or a woman. Both sexes have practically agreed on equality, especially in Western countries. A modern family is an attempt to create democracy and equality on a few dozen square meters. But does everyone succeed in achieving complete equality? Who is the head of the family in our time - a man or a woman?

1. The one who has great authority

It is logical that they are more likely to listen to the opinion of that person who is more respected and whose arguments they believe. In different families, on the position of a more authoritative spouse, there can be both a man and a woman. It does not depend on gender, but is determined by other qualities - experience, competence in a particular issue, the ability to rightfully solve problems.

2. The one who is able to make decisions

It so happened that men more willingly make important decisions than women. Due to the peculiarities of psychology, many women do not attend at the moments when they require a specific answer, on which much depends. But if a woman is able to solve some issues herself, consult with other family members, listen to their opinion, then she is in no way inferior to a man.

3. The one who is responsible

In disputes about who the head of the family often refers to the ability to bear responsibility. It is difficult to say who is more likely to be responsible for the family. Both men and women are equally capable of taking responsibility for their actions and responsibly treating their close people.

4. The one who earns

For a long time men had to support their women and children, because women were not allowed to work. Now, both men and women have equal chances to make a good career and get a high income. Some believe that until now the head of the family is the one who earns much more or completely contains the second member of the family. In our time, it is not uncommon for a woman to work, while a man is engaged in children and leads a house.

5. The one who is better versed in everyday affairs

When we create a family, we solve some problems. For example, the problem of loneliness. But at the same time, we are adding to ourselves problems. We have to think for two - pay a variety of bills, monitor the condition of cars, if any, educate children and so on. As a rule, the head of the family is the one who is able to solve the greatest number of such issues. If a woman copes better with children, and with car repair, and with the decision of questions in the bank, and with the choice of leisure for the whole family, it turns out that it is her main role.

6. The one who proclaimed himself to be the chief

There are families where one of its members, more often a man, declares that he is the main one, and this is not discussed. If a woman accepts such rules of the game - questions about who the head of the family no longer appears. If the wife does not agree with this position of her husband, conflicts are inevitable.

If you analyze all the criteria by which you can determine who is in charge of the family, it turns out that the leader can be anyone. With such functions, both man and woman can easily cope, if only they do not have any prejudices. But those who are happy in marriage for a long time, say that the patriarchal model of the family is more effective, or they say that over time it does not matter who is in power, mutual understanding is much more appreciated.
