Preparing oat-coconut biscuits ANZAC cookies are sweet and crisp oat-coconut biscuits, especially popular in Australia and New Zealand. Its, in fact, age-old, the story is very interesting and romantic. The ANZAC biscuit dates back to 1914-1915 and has since been associated with the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (abbreviation - ANZAC), created during the First World War. There are several popular versions of the origin of this delicacy. According to one of them - the cookies were invented by the corps soldiers themselves from the food stocks that they had, in order to brighten up the everyday, lean, army ration. On the other (that's where the real romance!), Believe that the creators, or rather the creators of such cookies were loving Australian and New Zealand women who sent parcels to their husbands directly to the front. By virtue of their qualities, the biscuits carried prolonged transportation and the soldiers ate it fresh. Today ANZAC cookies are produced on an industrial scale, and its popularity is growing day by day. I propose to prepare these sweet cookies by yourself, because everything is very simple. And gratitude to you will serve the happy faces of loved ones!

The main thing is, do not be tempted to add a little more water or butter or cream to the mixture - this will break the biscuits when baking.
- Step 12 Preheat the oven to 180 ° C. Cover the baking sheet with baking paper and spread the cookies a short distance from each other.
- Step 13 Bake the biscuits for 15 minutes, no more. Remove it from the oven - it should be soft. Spread carefully the ANZAK cookies on the grate - it will cool down and harden a little. Such biscuits are pleasant to eat with milk or with unsweetened tea!
