A new view of the process of digestion was expressed at the end of the 20th century by the famous physiologist Ivan Pavlov. He argued that not all food is digested equally and simultaneously, since it is treated with different enzymes in different parts of the gastrointestinal tract. Pavlov isolated several digestive enzymes, or gastric juices: milk, bread and meat. So, more than a hundred years ago, it became known that a ham sandwich causes the gastrointestinal tract to work simultaneously in two modes. He does not care what to work on - even whites, though fat or carbohydrates. But, perhaps, the main argument in the fight against the American concept is the historically formed food system. English breakfast (oatmeal, egg, bacon, bagel with jam) and French onion soup (onion, cheese, cream, crackers). Nevertheless, no matter how we treat Shelton's theory, you will agree: an escalope with potatoes is one thing, and in a company baked with spices of vegetables - another. Even if you align the dishes with caloric content (for example, add more olive oil to the vegetables), we will see: from the first option pulls into a heavy sleep, from the second - to feats. Perhaps some postulates of separate nutrition are still valid? And if without any systems to push the topic of traditional "Soviet" side dishes and sandwiches, we most likely will not lose, but buy. Vegetables in any form (not potatoes and especially not pasta!) - an excellent company for meat and fish. In case of time trouble, you can always have a package of frozen zucchini, pepper, broccoli in the refrigerator ...
