Correction of scars and scars

Each of us at least once faced with such an unpleasant phenomenon as scars or scars. Even after minor scratches, traces inevitably remain, not to mention post-operative scars, marks from burns or serious injuries. Another 15-20 years ago, the methods that allow you to partially get rid of scars could be counted on the fingers. Today in the arsenal of physicians-dermatocosmetologists there is a large number of techniques that make it impossible to make the most gross scars and scars invisible, even in such delicate areas as the face and neck.

So, the scar is a connective tissue formation that appears as the "answer" to the skin for any damage. In simple terms, this is a kind of "patch" consisting of collagen, as well as healthy skin, but with reduced functional properties. For example, there are no sweat and sebaceous glands, no hair follicles. Scars can be more sensitive to UV rays, so the color is usually different from normal skin.

The main methods used to correct scarring and scars:

Until recently, chemical peels were used to treat scars, as well as microdermabrasion - mechanical skin resurfacing using diamond mills or fine abrasive alumina powder. However, such methods gave a positive effect only if the age of the scar was no more than six months. Of all these methods, the most effective at present is the use of laser technology. Laser grinding can be total (continuous), when the entire surface of the rumen is treated with a laser. In this case, the initial healing lasts up to 20 days, the final restoration is completed no earlier than 3-4 months. During this time, exposure to sunlight should be avoided to avoid pigmentation. Such a situation does not suit many patients, which is why our doctors use the newest method - DOT-therapy (dermal optical thermolysis) in our clinic. This method is based on the principle of the formation of microthermal damage zones. Under the influence of the laser, microdamages are formed in scar tissue that destroy coarse fibers while stimulating the formation of healthy young tissue. Cells from neighboring zones are also involved in this process and are actively updated. What is important, the procedure is almost painless, and the regeneration period is minimal, it takes from 2 to 5 days. If necessary, the procedure can be repeated after 2 months. To accelerate the healing of the doctor, our clinics often combine the procedure of laser resurfacing with another innovative technology - plasmalifting (PRP-technology). After laser treatment, a specially prepared plasma concentrate is introduced under the skin. To do this, a small amount of the patient's own blood is treated with a centrifuge. As a result, we get a plasma concentrate rich in platelets and "growth factors". In addition to independent work in the zone of introduction, growth factors attract new cells to the problem zone and stimulate their active division. When combined with laser resurfacing with the procedure of plasmalifting, the regeneration of healthy tissue at the site of the scar is significantly accelerated, swelling and inflammation are minimized. An important advantage: the introduction of plasma is absolutely safe, because we use our own blood, which means that the risk of allergy, infection or rejection of the drug is excluded.

Correction of atrophic scars is also desirable to be carried out in several stages, the first of which is again the method of laser resurfacing. The surface of the scars is then leveled by injecting collagen or hyaluronic acid gel (filler). Our clinic is the first in Russia, which uses Eco-filler (plasmagel) as an alternative to hyaluronic acid. This gel, by analogy with plasmalifting, is made from the patient's plasma and is immediately injected into the correction area. This technique allows you to achieve impressive results and at the same time guarantees the absence of all possible risks and complications.
