Glycerin medical is a viscous liquid without color and odor, sweet to taste. It mixes with water in any proportions, not poisonous. The use of glycerin
Glycerin is used in many areas. For example, in medicine and in the production of pharmaceuticals. Glycerin is used to dissolve drugs, increase the viscosity of liquid preparations, protect against the drying of creams, pastes, ointments, and from changes during fermentation of liquids. Glycerin has antiseptic properties.
Glycerin is used as a food supplement E422 to improve the consistency in the production of confectionery, to prevent the subsidence of chocolate, increase the bread volume. Adding glycerin reduces the time of hardening of bread, and pasta makes less sticky. Glycerin is also used in the production of non-alcoholic beverages. The extract, prepared on the basis of glycerin, in the diluted state gives to softness "softness".
Glycerin increases the detergency of most varieties of toilet soap. Glycerin is able to hold some water, protecting the skin from excessive loss of moisture. It is also added to many cosmetics. After using the cosmetic agent with glycerin, the skin is well softened and moistened, it becomes smooth and elastic. However, pure glycerin is not used for this purpose, since it itself unnecessarily dries the skin. The medicinal properties of glycerine medical are actively used in the preparation of home cosmetics, where glycerol is an important component.

There are opinions that the use of glycerin does not moisturize the skin, but, on the contrary, contributes to its even more desiccation, extracting moisture from its layers, and simply keeping it on the surface. So what's the truth? Glycerin draws moisture from the air and saturates it with our skin. As a result, the skin will create a moist film, that is, there is a moistening effect. But to absorb moisture from the water glycerin is only possible if this moisture is there enough. In dry climates or in dry air around the skin, glycerin will suck moisture out of the depths of the skin. Therefore, the use of glycerin in cosmetology is recommended only with the necessary humidity of the air. Recommended humidity 45 - 65%.
Masks with glycerin
Nourishing and moisturizing mask. Mix 1 teaspoon of honey with the same amount of glycerin, lobster 3 tablespoons of filtered boiled water, stir the mixture to a homogeneous mass. Then add 1 teaspoon of oatmeal, stir again. Next, apply a mask for 10 to 15 minutes on face, then rinse with warm water. This mask is recommended for normal, dry and combination skin.
Moisturizing mask. To make it, we dissolve 1 teaspoon of medical glycerin in 2 tablespoons of water, then mix it with 1 egg yolk. Properly lubricate the face with the mixture and leave for 15 minutes. We wash after the procedure with warm water.
Refreshing and toning mask. Grind along with peel 1 a slice of lemon of medium size. Then we dissolve 1 teaspoon of medical glycerin in 2 tablespoons of water and mix with a lemon mixture. After the composition includes 1 teaspoon cream or sour cream and 1 egg yolk. Thoroughly stir everything and put it on the face for 15 minutes. The mask is recommended for normal to dry skin.
Nourishing mask. 1 tablespoon of mashed potatoes on milk, grind with 1 egg yolk, with 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Then we dissolve 1 teaspoon of medical glycerin in 2 tablespoons of water, add to the mixture. All mixed and put on your face for 15 minutes. We wash off the mask with warm water. The mask is recommended for dry skin of the face.
Masks made of clay. The simplest recipe for the mask: pour powder of green, white or blue clay into the aqueous solution of medical glycerin and mix. Consistency should be creamy. Mask of clay for 10 - 15 minutes put on the face, then rinse with cool water.
Lotions with glycerin
Cleansing and refreshing lotion. Mix in equal proportions dry herbs to your taste, for this or that type of skin. 2 tablespoons of the mixture pour 1 cup of boiling water, boil on low heat for about 25-30 minutes. Then remove from heat, cover with a lid and leave until completely cooled. Then strain the broth and add to its liquid part 1 tablespoon of cologne (preferably flower) and 1 teaspoon of medical glycerine medical. All mixed.
Toning and moisturizing lotion. Grind into a gruel whole orange (with dry skin) or lemon (with oily skin). Pour this gruel 1 cup of clean cold water and put it in a dark place for 1 week. Then strain and add to the resulting citron infusion 1 teaspoon of medical glycerin.
Lotion of mint. Half a glass of dried herbs of mint pour to the top with boiling water, cover the dishes with a towel, we insist for about a day. Then filter and add 1 tablespoon of medical glycerin. Lotion wipe face and neck in the morning and evening instead of washing.
Lotion of chamomile. Mix 3/4 cup infusion of chamomile flowers, 1 teaspoon of medical glycerin, 1/4 cup of vodka. Wipe the face in the morning and evening.
Honey lotion. Take 1 teaspoon of honey and the same amount of medical glycerin, 1/3 cup water, 2 - 3 grams of borax and 1 tablespoon of vodka. Mix the medical glycerin and honey, then add water with a brown dissolved in it and, lastly, vodka. The lotion eliminates peeling, makes the skin velvety and soft.
Lotion for hands. Mix 40 g of glycerine medical, 1 teaspoon of ammonia, 50 g of water, 2 - 3 drops of perfume or any essential oil. Hands lubricate this lotion in the morning and evening.
