Initially, the cake was called not usual to us savory or fresh pancake, but bread. It's just that our ancestors did not have the opportunity to bake plump rolls, and the round flat shape was the most simple. But in Central Asia, flat cakes are still considered the main type of flour products and they are even considered a national dish.

- water - 1 glass
- vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.

We start to prepare:
- Eggs beat well with sugar and salt. Then pour in the water and add the chopped greens.
- The mixture should be thoroughly mixed and gradually add the sifted flour.
- The dough should be kneaded and divided into equal balls. Each of them flatten and fry in a skillet with preheated vegetable oil on both sides.

Recipe for cheese tortillas
To prepare this tasty and satisfying dish you will not need a lot of ingredients and efforts, and your home will be delighted with this delicacy.
Ingredients:
- hard cheese - 100 g
- eggs - 2 pcs.
- fatty sour cream or kefir - 2 tbsp. l.
- flour - 3 tbsp. l.
- cooking oil for frying
- salt and greens to taste
We start to prepare:
First you need to lightly beat eggs and add sour cream / kefir to them. Then rinse the flour and mix the mixture thoroughly.
Greens should be cut finely, and the cheese should be rubbed on a small grater. Add these ingredients to the dough and mix thoroughly.
Fry cheese cakes should be in a frying pan with preheated vegetable oil. The mixture is simply poured into a skillet and fried for about seven minutes on each side. Since the dough is rather loose, then turn each cake with two blades or with a lid.
Lenten cakes
During fasting, you should not deny yourself a treat. To prepare such a dish, you do not need a lot of ingredients, but some of them are able to give the cake a special piquancy and nutritional value.
For preparation, take:
- Two glasses of flour
- Glass of water
- Vegetable oil - 3 tbsp. l.
- A handful of sesame seeds
- Salt and ginger to taste
The order of preparation is:
Water is poured into a saucepan and sent to the fire for boiling. In the meantime, we sift the flour and add salt, oil, ginger and sesame to it. If desired, you can season with your favorite spices. When the water boils, pour it into a bowl of flour and start to mix quickly and intensively. If this is not done, the dough will turn out to be too dry. Then wait for the mixture to cool. Sprinkle the table with flour and start to tear off small pieces and roll them into a flat cake and then fry it over medium heat in a pan without adding oil.
