Homemade pickled herring Dishes made from salted or pickled herring are the best snack for strong spirits. However, there are a large number of recipes with which you can also prepare in the home conditions original snacks from freshly frozen herring with addition of not only spices, but also vegetables. Gourmets will appreciate the snack offered by me.
Ingredients:- Herring 1000 g
- Salt 2 tbsp. l.
- Sugar 2 tbsp. l.
- Ketchup 2 tbsp. l.
- Table vinegar 100 ml
- Carrot 1 pc.
- Onions 1 pc.
- Sunflower refined oil 125 ml
- Pepper fragrant 6 pcs.
- Step 1 To prepare the snack, take: freshly frozen herring, carrots, onions, 6% vinegar table vinegar, sunflower oil, ketchup, sugar, salt and sweet pepper.
- Step 2 Herring unfrozen, gutted, cut off the head, cut into fillets, carefully removing the bones, and cut into strips 3-4 cm wide.
- Step 3 Carrots clean and rub on a coarse grater.
- Step 4 Peel the onion, cut it in half, and then each halve into thin semicircles.
- Step 5 In a large bowl, put the fish fillets, carrots, onions, peppers, sugar, salt, sunflower oil, vinegar and ketchup.
- Step 6 Mix thoroughly and leave overnight in a cool place. In the morning the snack is ready for use.
