Vegetable chopped salad Israeli cuisine refers to a branch of Mediterranean cuisine. As in other Mediterranean countries, the Israeli cuisine is dominated by an abundance of vegetables and fruits, seafood, fish and olive oil, herbs and legumes. Also used are a variety of oriental seasonings and spices, including sumac, which enhances the taste and gives easy sourness to vegetables. Sumah (sumak) is obtained from the berries of the same plant, it is burgundy and has a characteristic sourness. In the eastern countries it is used for dressing salads, marinovki onions, and in the Caucasus - for marinovki meat. This recipe I took from the book Zh Gur "New Israeli dishes", in which the author of cinnamon and sumac makes the main spices in his recipes. They give interesting notes and significantly enhance the taste of the dish.
