Beetroot in a spicy marinade This recipe of preparation of marinated beets has been tested by me many times. Literally the next day you have a wonderful snack to the table. Ingredients:- Beetroot 500g
- Onion purple 2 pcs.
- Fresh ginger 30 g
- Pepper fragrant 7 pcs.
- Pepper black with peas 7 pcs.
- Carnation 7 pcs.
- Bay leaf 2 pcs.
- Salt 2 tsp.
- Table vinegar 150 ml
- Water 350 ml
- Honey 100 g
- Step 1 To prepare the snack, take small tubers of beets, onions; for marinade: water, vinegar, salt, honey (sugar 5 tablespoons), bay leaf, clove, sweet pepper, black pepper peas, ginger 4 cm.
- Step 2 Wash the tubers thoroughly. Pour water and cook until ready.
- Step 3 Cook the beets with cold water and peel.
- Step 4 Cut the onion into thin half rings.
- Step 5 Cut the beet into thin semirings.
- Step 6 We prepare the marinade: boil water, sprinkle spices - bay leaf, bitter and sweet pepper, cloves, ginger, sliced, honey. Cook for 15 minutes.
- Step 7 Remove from heat. Add the vinegar. Cool it down.
- Step 8 Divide the beets with the onions, alternating with layers. Pour a warm marinade. Leave for 1 hour at room temperature, then refrigerate.
- Step 9 You can store ready-to-eat beets in a jar.
