Preparing marzipans at home Probably in childhood, many of you read the tales of the brothers Grimm, Andersen, Hoffmann, and asked their parents what marzipans, which often feasted heroes of these tales. And not always the parents could explain what it is. Now you have the opportunity not only to get acquainted theoretically with this delicacy, but also to try it, and treat your relatives. Of course, pleasure is not the cheapest, but you can prepare marzipans for the birthday of the child or your own wedding anniversary. Exotic for us sweet marzipan was first cooked in France, but for some reason the most popular is in Austria and Germany. Our confectionery industry does not produce these kind of sweets, but it is very easy to cook them at home. All you need is almonds, sugar powder and food colorings. Other nuts will not give a plastic mixture, from which you can form the desired figures - they do not have the same content of oils as in almonds. As for the dyes, you can use the factory colors that are part of the Easter sets, or tint the almond mass with any berry or vegetable juice.
