Mint-vanilla cream ice cream

1. Pour the milk in half with cream into a heavy saucepan. Add sugar and mix. Bring the boiling mixture over low heat, stirring occasionally. 2. In a separate bowl, beat the egg yolks at medium speed with a light yellow color. 3. Add a small amount of the milk mixture into the yolks (about 2 cups) and beat. 4. Pour the yolks into a saucepan with the milk mixture. 5. Cook over low heat until the mixture is very thick, from 5 to 7 minutes. Pour the mixture through a fine sieve into a bowl. 6. Add thick cream and mix until smooth. Stir with vanilla extract. Cover and place the mixture in the refrigerator. 7. Freeze the mixture in an ice cream machine, according to the manufacturer's instructions. After the ice cream is ready, add chopped mint candies and immediately place the ice cream in the container in the freezer. 8. A couple of hours later, open the container and mix again, so that the candies are evenly distributed. Frost the ice cream for another 24 hours.
