Description.
Royal jelly is a product of the secretion of the maxillary and pharyngeal glands of worker bees. This secret is allocated six to seven days, after two to three days from the day the worker bee appeared. The main purpose of royal jelly is feeding the larvae. Moreover, here there is a strict distinction: the larvae of drones and worker bees feed on them during only the first three days of life, while the larvae of queen bees use it all their life.
In appearance, the milk is white or yellowish, has a burning-sour taste and a weak smell of honey, and in consistence it is similar to sour cream.
Bee milks are very unstable to external influences - air, light, temperature - and after two hours, the main biologically active substances begin to disintegrate. Therefore, the maximum effect it has only when freshly picked. This property of milk quickly lose activity and causes a lot of problems with obtaining, storing and transporting the product.
Composition.
The chemical composition of milk varies widely. Here much depends on various factors: from the age of larvae - in young the content of proteins and fats is higher than that of the old ones; from the larvae themselves - the uterus, the drone or the working bee, from the storage conditions, from the strength of the bee family.
In average values, the composition looks like this. Protein content 9 - 19%, lipids 2-9%, glucose, sucrose, fructose - 8-19%, macro and microelements - about 1%. There are also groups of vitamins - water-soluble C, B, fat-soluble A, E, D; organic and unsaturated fatty acids; sex hormones - testosterone (male) and estrogen and progesterone (female). The presence of antibiotic - gramicidin, neurotransmitters, acetylcholine was noted.
Healing properties of milk.
The effect of royal jelly is expressed mainly in the stimulation of various organs and systems:

Apply royal jelly recommended:

Outer royal jelly is recommended for use in non-healing and purulent wounds, skin diseases.
Royal jelly is processed in pharmaceutics and is already available in the form of finished medicines with various dosages for the treatment of various diseases. For example, a drug called "Apillac" is manufactured from dried royal jelly in various forms: in the form of tablets, 3% ointment, rectal suppositories.
