Puff loaf All is very simple: puff pastry and apple-nut filling, similar to a twirl, but more crunchy. You ask why suffer with a layered test, knead, skate, freeze, etc., if it costs a penny in a store and it's much easier to buy ?! That's right, it's easier to buy, but for me even the most unsuccessful home-made dough is tastier than the store one, it's special, it feels the love and efforts of the one who did it. Although this is a matter of everyone's taste: it's my business to offer you a version of a layered roll from scratch. Successful culinary masterpieces!
Ingredients:- Wheat flour 3 tbsp.
- Olive oil 10 ml
- Baking powder 1 tsp.
- Sugar 2 tbsp. l.
- Salt 1 pinch
- Water 200 ml
- Hazelnut 70 g
- Sugar powder 100 g
- Carnation 2 pcs.
- Nutmeg ground 0.5 tsp.
- Cinnamon powder 1 tsp.
- Olive oil 10 ml
- Apple 4 pcs.
- Vanilla pods 1 pc.
- Step 1 To prepare the roll, you need vegetable or melted butter (I used refined olive oil - it does not smell), apples, any nuts, sugar powder and sweet spices: cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and vanilla.
- Step 2 To make the dough, you need flour, water, vegetable oil or melted, salt, sugar and baking powder (you can prepare it yourself: mix soda, starch and citric acid in 2: 2: 1 proportions).
- Step 3 To begin, we prepare the puff pastry. To do this, mix the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
- Step 4 Then add warm water and mix.
- Step 5 Put the dough on a flour-poured table and knead it. You should get an elastic dough that does not stick to your hands.
- Step 6 Next, grind the dough thinly (about 2 mm). And cut it into 2 parts.
- Step 7 Then grease the dough with oil and lay one half on top of the other to match the edges. Carry out a good hand.
- Step 8 Next, roll the dough into a roll, wrap it with parchment paper and send it to the freezer for 30 minutes.
- Step 9 While the dough is cooling, prepare the filling. Apples should be cleaned and grated.
- Step 10 Dry the nuts in a frying pan and grind them.
- Step 11 Heat the oil in a frying pan and add the crushed spices (vanilla, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg) for 5 seconds.
- Step 12 Add apples and powdered sugar and simmer for 5 minutes, then turn off the heat and add the nuts. All mix and cool.
- Step 13 Get the dough out of the freezer and tell it very subtly (as thinly as it will turn out).
- Step 14 Then distribute evenly the filling.
- Step 15 Turn into a roll and send it on a greased baking sheet into the oven, bake at 180-200 ° C until golden brown.
- Step 16 Cool and oil the roll with oil for softness.
- Step 17 If desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
