Freelance does not require visiting the office, staying at work from 9.00 to 18.00 and registering the work book. You only need a computer with Internet access and your talents. To date, employers most often resort to the services of freelancers for writing various translations, handwriting sets, developing software products, layouts of design and simply inventing ideas for any projects, writing articles and press releases, supporting sites, technical processing of sound. If you have some skills from the above - you have great opportunities. You can count on virtual employment. You can perform the "left" work, even if you are on the main one. However, if you are identified, this may result in dismissal. Convenience is that you are not limited in choosing a job on a territorial basis: you can write texts for out-of-town magazines or model foreign websites. Payment in this case can be transferred to a bank account or to a virtual wallet, and the contract - to be sent by mail.

Another option for part-time jobs is that you work in two or more organizations on a part-time basis or have a shift schedule for different jobs. For example, you work out an 8-hour working day at your main job, and then you go to work as an evening secretary to another company. The second work on a sliding schedule or strictly on weekends is possible in the service sector - waiters, maids, etc. This includes work in the role of nanny, private housekeeper, operator on the home phone and other activities that are compatible with the main job. Also often there is internal compatibility. Right in the company where you work now, offer your candidacy for the second vacancy. You can also try to take on an extra job site. It's always easier to negotiate with a familiar boss than with a new one. In addition, any firm is interested in getting the maximum benefit from the employees.

The third option of organizing a second job or additional earnings is turning your specialty into a source of additional earnings. Tutoring is the most vivid example. At all times teachers gave private lessons. Also, in the private order to provide services can massage therapists, hairdressers and other beauty masters. The main thing is not to fall out of fatigue and not start "living to work", forgetting about yourself, children, friends and relatives.

Surely you need money not just "to be", but to the target costs - the purchase of a car, an apartment or a trip abroad. Calculate how much you will have to earn extra and for how long to achieve the goal. Otherwise your overtime will turn into a pursuit of abstract wealth.

Even if the second job is necessary for your self-expression, try not to overwork. When the editor writes stories for fun at night, and the dressmaker after the service in the studio sews to order models on their own sketches, it is important not to lose the taste for the matter. The excessive number of orders turns a favorite business into a routine, and its main component - the pleasure of the process - evaporates without a trace.

Do not forget about rest: the stress-precipitated organism is not able to work effectively. Pay attention to yourself and your family - no wealth will replace the warmth of human communication. If instead of talking to children, you will obsessively transfer foreign articles in the evenings, you will soon have more serious problems than lack of money - lack of love and understanding. Select at least one day a week to iron it with your family. And do not give up on this rule - no matter how much extra money you are promised!

WHAT DOES THE LAW SAY?

If you are employed for additional work, you have the right to conclude an employment contract there. If you already have a contract on the main job, you must indicate in the new contract that the second job is for you - part-time. A work record book is not required in this case. Recording in the workplace about part-time work can be made at the main place of work. Conclusion of the employment contract concurrently guarantees you a vacation that coincides with your vacation on the main job, as well as working time not exceeding 4 hours a day and half the monthly working time. So, if your harsh employer dares to force you to work above the norm, you can safely point out to him the relevant legislative act (Article 284 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation as amended by Federal Law No. 90-FZ of 30.06.2006). And if you work in the area where the district coefficients and allowances are set, then at part-time jobs, as well as on the main one, you are obliged to pay money in accordance with the prescribed coefficients and taking into account the allowances.

A contract of a contract or an author's order is the most commonly practiced form of a contract when working under conditions of freelancing. In this case, you agree to perform the assignment within the agreed period, and the employer undertakes to pay for it. The accounting of surcharges and district coefficients does not occur in this case, and besides, you are deprived of paid leave. After completing the assignment under the contract, you can temporarily give up new orders and rest at your own expense as long as you want. Or, on the contrary, go on vacation with a laptop and write articles, make websites and draw banners while lying on the shores of the azure sea.

Often, free artists do not conclude any contracts at all: the employer is always required to do everything urgently, so there is simply no time for paperwork. Agree to work on such terms - it's up to you. No one is insured against dishonest employers and non-payment of fees in the absence of a contract. But, on the other hand, employers are also interested in preserving their good name.

Regardless of whether your work is basic, part-time or contract work, all employers are required to deduct money to your pension fund. And if you are going to take a loan, you have the right to collect certificates of your income from all employers and provide them together as the basis for your solvency.
