Chicken soup with noodles The dawn of such a dish, known today as soup, took place about a hundred years before the beginning of our era in the East - in China and in neighboring Asian countries. But soups came to Europe much later: in the south of Europe they became known only from the 15th to 16th centuries, after the invention of faience, and also when porcelain brought from China and Japan became available, and later - poured and enameled utensils. But these dates can give only a very approximate idea of when modern soups originated. Wide distribution of soups was received only to 17-18 centuries. But the real soup appeared only after the invention of the non-oxidizable, chemically pure and durable dishes, and when people achieved mastery in cutting food products.
