The rules of dousing with water

To remove fatigue after a day's work, maintain high performance and form a strong immunity to colds, this method of hardening the body is often used as water pouring. Anyone can go through this wellness procedure at home. However, despite the seeming simplicity of this technique, there are still certain certain rules for pouring water, observance of which will help achieve the desired health-improving and health-improving effect.

Pouring water stimulates metabolism, increases the tone of the muscles and nervous system. By the mechanism of its effect on the body, this method of healing somewhat resembles the action of the soul. In accordance with the rules of this procedure, water is poured from any available capacity - buckets, watering cans, jugs, and they should be located at a distance of 20-25 centimeters from the body. Water in the process of dousing should flow along the trunk to the legs, and not sprayed with a large flow to the sides. This rule will help to maximize the use of the volume of all prepared in a water tank.

Another rule that should be observed during the dousing, concerns the sequence of the effects of water on various parts of the body. First, the water flow should fall on the back and chest, then on the stomach, then on the hands and feet. But the head during the dousing session should remain dry.

Such a healing procedure is performed 3 times a day (or at least in the morning and in the evening). The duration of one session of dousing with water should be 2-3 minutes.

The following rule describes the actions immediately after the procedure. Upon completion of douche, the body should be rubbed with a dry sheet before the appearance of a pinkish skin tone and sensation of heat inside the body.

Pouring can be done with warm or cold water. In the case of the use of warm water, its temperature should be 37 - 38 ° C, and the purpose of this session is to achieve a calming effect and sleep normalization. Pouring with warm water is especially recommended to be carried out in old age. Cool water (the temperature of which is from 21 to 33 ºС) or cold (temperature below 20 ºС) is used to provide an exciting and refreshing effect on the body. For example, such a procedure will be very appropriate in the summer when working on the plot, at the dacha or when you are in a stuffy place for a long time.

If douche with cold water is used to quench the body, then in this case, you must follow some additional rules that will help to avoid hypothermia of your body and the occurrence of colds. First of all, the water temperature during the first dousing sessions should be at least 37 - 38 ºС. Every two to three days it is necessary to lower the temperature by about 1 ° C until it reaches 20-21 ° C. The total duration of the procedure for dousing with cold water should not exceed 60-90 seconds.

Another kind of this water procedure is contrast douches. They are very useful for training blood vessels. However, when carrying out contrasting douches, one should also adhere to specific rules. So, before the beginning of this procedure, hot water (38-40 ºС) is poured into one container, and in the other - cold (30-32 ºС). Then spend dousing for 5-10 seconds at first warm, and then cold water. The number of such alternating shifts of portions of water should initially be 3-4 times, and in subsequent sessions - up to 8-10 times for one douche. Over time, when the body has already acquired a certain hardening, it is possible to increase the temperature difference between hot and cold water, and also use more water changes.

Thus, observing these simple, but very important rules, you can successfully take care of your health at home by dousing water.
